Hey guys , it's been a really long time since I last posted some of my paintings because of my work taking a huge part of my life and leaving me close to no free-time at all . So here is the third addition to my Astra Militarum special forces coalition from GW Warhammer 40K , a small strike squad of Steel Legion pathfinders painted in different uniforms (as a lot of operators from SF teams use a mix of camos and equipements) . As always this is only my third painted squad i'm not so good at it but I enjoy working on this so every peace of advice is welcome and gladly noted .

The models themselves look good, and the camo pattern is well done. The bases detract from them though. I'd recommend covering the gap for the slot with green stuff or masking tape, then putting something over the top (like sand), and paint the rim a solid colour so it's neat. That will finish them off nicely.

Have a look at my P&M blog - currently working on Sons of Horus

Yes I was wondering if I was going to complete the bases and you're absolutely right , the masking tape is actualy something I did not think about and might do the trick , thanks a lot . I'm pretty pleased with the camo in itself even if the photos does not look so good . I'll finish these as soon as possible

Yep, I'm 100% with the other guy - the minis themselves look good...but the bases look 50% done and don't work at all with the figures. Fill in the slots, get a little texture and paint them fully. You're on the right track.

Thanks , I'm happy that it made you want to have more of this guys , they really look great in their germanish style
That's why I painted them with an SS inspired camo battle dress with 3 variants , the "rain" one , the "autumn" one and the "spring" one .

I have to come back and redo the bases properly but I have very little time available because of work
I still have a Skiitari assault group and a full on Vostroyan infantry unit with the command squad to paint , and I'm not even talking about all the WWII 1/35 british , US and german paratroopers and artillery pieces I just bought to make a basis for my odd war setting I intend to start .
