So after that epic ass smashing a couple weeks ago.... its time for another one! Har-
de-har. With all due seriousness Alex, my Necron opponent from the last game, wanted to get in another game with me; this time, however, our gaming group picked what army he would play (Choices were: Eldar/Harle/Ynnari, Necrons, Tau, or Grey Knights). After a brief poll, the Tau won out, which is good for me - I haven't played the space commies in 8th yet. Alex, being the tourney-hardcore player he is, will be a great opponent regardless of what he plays. I learned a lot our last game, so we will see if this knowledge leads me to victory or bitter defeat!

Pre-Game Thoughts
James (
DG/Nurgle): So Tau has always been one of the
40k armies that didn't jive with me; their ranged, "keep away" playstyle wasn't my bag. Plus they're space commies... so being the good American patriot I am, I feel like its my duty to eliminate them on the plastic fields of battle.
Joking aside, Alex's list is as hard as I expected; more firepower than you can shake a stick at. Those Broadsides and giant mech suits have a lot of guns, wounds, and good saves. Top it off with all the Markerlights, I'll be on the reciving end of a lot of firepower early on. My goal this game (aside from winning) is threefold: 1) test triple
PBC's with Poxbringer for
Str 8 flamers, 2) test out the Cultist blob and see if its worth it with Delightful Agonies for the 5+++, 3) See if Poxwalkers suck like many people spout at me. Going first will be key to me not getting blown apart early, and I know Alex will make a lot of use of those reactors!
