Hi All,

The Daemonforge stratagem is 1 CP and allows you to reroll all attacks and wounds for a chaos daemon vehicle. When it says attacks does it mean shooting as well? Usually when they say attacks it means melee but most people seem to be interpreting it as ALL attacks in shooting and assault phase. Including in tournaments.

But i dont see an official ruling or FAQ in regard to this.

Can anyone provide clarification?

Shooting is considered an attack; I'd have to see the exact wording, but as for your question as you wrote it - yes.

Speaking of, Psychic Powers are attacks as well; so if there's something that'll help out attacks during the Psychic phase, go nuts..

If you read the strat it specifically mentions it can be used in the shooting phase and allows you to re-roll all hits and wounds but you can only pick one phase to use it in. e.g. you can't play it in the shooting phase for the re-rolls then still get them if it charges in the assault phase unless you use it again (which you can do since its a different phase) but this would cost 2cp in total

as an aside worth noting with all strats like this it is before modifiers e.g. if its BS4 but its a -1 to hit and you need 5's you can't re-roll the 4s

This is the correct and complete answer. It's one of the more annoying quirks of re-rolls before modifiers.

Think of "re-roll misses" as instead saying "re-roll results that are less than your ballistic/weapon skill." So a re-roll misses for a BS3 model lets you re-roll 1's and 2's (and nothing else), regardless of what modifiers might be in play.
