It may be a bit premature as there's a big update coming, but I reckon it wouldn't end up changing things too drastically.

Liking the colour scheme and wanting to put a bunch of ships on the field I think Barak Thryng could be a workable option. I know the typical style is clowncars or equivalents but that's not the style I got into KO for.

1980 - Barak Thryng, There's no trading with some people
Aetheric Navigator, Fleetmaster, Aethersight Loupe
3x10 Arkanaut Company - 3 Aethermatic Volley Guns
Gundstok Escort Wing
Frigate - Heavy Sky Cannon, Magnificent Omniscope
Frigate - Heavy Sky Cannon, Ebullient Buoyancy Aid
3x Gunhaulers - Sky Cannon
5 Thunderers - 4 rifles, 1 fumigator
3 Skywardens - volley gun, drill cannon

It requires knowing the opponents army fairly well and making the right choices on target selection and positioning so I'd expect to lose a fair bit at first, but I think it could work decently once I get familiar with it.

Grudges and Focus Fire on a unit would bring some pretty accurate fire from the ships and hopefully I can use it a couple times with Thryngs trait to remove the main threats. I wanted to keep the frigates as mobile as possible, the Thunderers and a company in the buoyant frigate and the navigator and a company in the magnificent one. The hope with the thunderers is to try and reduce the inevitable combat with their fumigator. Overall the army would be 2 drops with the battalion and then a company.

If your attack is going too well, you have walked into an ambush

The easy way is always mined
