So, basic 1,500 list. Each Deathwatch Veteran squad Combat Squads into 4 Veterans with Heavy Bolters with the Sergeant, and then 3 Bikers and 2 Vanguard Veterans. Bikes and Vanguard charge up the field, laying waste with SIA and charging in to tie something up and maybe cause some damage, then falling back and repeating. Watch Captain stays back and just lets them reroll 1s and gives them a 5+ invuln. Librarian is there for Psychic niceties. Might run up the field and cast Might of Heroes on a squad of Bikers that lost one VV and one Bike, for majority T6.

Then, the IG! Kurov's Aquila costs me a CP (bringing me to 12 before the game starts-unless I get it back from Lord of Hidden Knowledge) but should earn me at LEAST one back. Colonel Straken and the Company Commander give orders (usually FRF,SRF or Bring It Down!) to the Infantry Squads, who screen my Heavy Bolter Veterans and pop some shots at bigger, meaner targets with their Lascannons. Harker gives rerolls of 1, making "Take Aim!" unneeded, and the Scout Sentinels deepstrike block, and maybe do something. Given the FAQ, I might want to replace them, but not sure with what.

Plus, anyone who charges my Guardsmen are in for a nasty surprise! 9 models get only 11 attacks base, +9 for Straken, +9 for Priest, +1 for Chainsword, for 30 S4 attacks per squad! Not shabby.
