Hey all! I figured since I haven't seen much Deepkin in here, I'd share mine! I'm no pro painter by a long stretch, but I've come up with a color scheme that's pretty fun! Let me know what you think!

And some bonus Witch Aelves that I finished as well!

Deepkin look great, and the scheme works well. Do you plan on adding more?

The paint job is really good but what speaks to me are your bases. I really like how they add to the scene of your models. If you don't mind my asking how did you do your bases?

Thanks so much!

The bases were really easy. I used some thin cork board (in my case, some cork coasters that I tore up), glued them on, primed them gray, and then covered them with Astrogranite texture paint.
The color of the cork 'coral' is Ionrach Flesh washed with Coelia Greenshade and drybrushed back with Ionrach Flesh.
The water is just successive thin coats of blue, starting dark and going all the way up to Fenrisian Gray at the very edges. Keeping it thin helps the colors blend together.
Finally, coat the water with 'Ard Coat gloss for a shine.

The combination of the 'Ard Coat and the texture paint over the water helps give it a sense of movement and texture without spending a bunch of time on tricky water effects. It's effective and quick, so great for making tons of Thrall bases!

Those bases look fantastic! Is it just cork and paint? Any suggestions on how-to?
