So I've been using Spaz Stik's High Gloss Black airbrush paint to create some really nice black marines. I was screwing around with a paint test and realized that some models would look really nice with a high gloss white. Spaz Stik doesn't stock a gloss white though, only a primer.

Anyone have any advice on getting a high gloss white paint job for miniatures?

I love Future floor polish for gloss. Paint on like a wash, dries clear. Allows you to gloss only the areas you choose. In the case of Marines, gloss white armor but flat flesh, guns and weathering.

I've never encountered one, but a clear gloss varnish and your preferred white might work.

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

At INSTAR we offer all our paints not only in a Matt finish but also a gloss finish as well that leaves a really nice shine without having to paint an extra layer of finish on top of an existing layer of paint.
