Could not find in search and just out of interest really is there any background for the time period (e.g. WHF style years) from the end times to the age of myth the onto the AoS?

I'v never been a warhammer or AoS player just 40k but always like to keep an eye on the general fluff.

I'm guessing its just 'a long time'

Point of clarification, the Age of Myth comes after the end of the old world. During the Age of Myth Sigmar assembled his pantheon.

Some people mistake the Age of Myth as the old world timeline.

Yes good point - I misunderstood the question as to how long did Sigmar drift in space etc.

More info on the time line of the Age of Myth here:

Oh no the question was how long he drifted in space and how long the age of myth was (in years), both.

Seems its a bit wooly, guess its intentional e.g. could be millions of years or time is meaningless etc

I think the age of Myth was thosuands of years, whilst the Age of Chaos not as long but therer is not specifics very often just a series of events that happened.

I believe the answer is "just a long time".

Now me trying to be funny. I believe the answer is 30 000 years. Then the Age of Chaos took about 10 000 years.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

I definitely lean towards the 'time is meaningless' interpretation here. We're talking about god's, beings that don't experience time or reality in the same way that we do. Putting a number on it doesn't make sense.

In one story someone, I think it was Morathi, mentioned bringing the pantheon together 4,500 years ago. They never even vaguely say how long Sigmar drifted in the void.
I have a feeling they may go into more detail in the new core book.
