Situtation: unit assaulted enemy unit in ground floor of ruin. Encircled and trapped lone survivor in combat so can't fall back.
Empty floor directly above trapped model.


Can the trapped model fall back from combat by moving up? It didnt require any lateral movement. I don't see anything in the rules that would prevent it?

Yes, they can, provided they’re INFANTRY to move through the Ruin floor above them.

Yes, that's perfectly fine, so long as they can legally move onto the upper level of a ruin.
