I've not seen much rumbling on here about gaming in deployed locations, but good luck.

Post something at the MWR, you're likely to find someone quicker that way.

They used to have a community board where everyone posted various unofficial groups like dnd, magic and so forth. I would assume 40k would be there too. But new contracting company came in and made all bulletin boards official use only. So Im back to square one. Base doesnt have a social media presence at all either, a relic of a few years back when this was supposedly a secret base. You know the kind of secret base with a big air force symbol in the pool you can see from space. Very sneaky.

Never heard of Dhafra being a "secret" base, ever. And that seems absolutely bonkers that the MWR isn't allowed to have a board of it's own.

16 years now though, and I still can't get over how slowed the military can be sometimes.

Oh yeah, this was an undisclosed base until about a year or two ago. Supposedly secret. Agreed that it was a poorly kept secret, but no base facebook page, MWR and USO are supposedly not allowed to have base specific social media pages. MWR person I talked to said this was the only base she knew of with those restrictions.
