Unless you have been locked away under a rock by Inquisitorial degree, you should have seen the WWG by now.
If not, here it is https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Aeldari-Webway-Gate-2018

Looking at the size of the Wraith constructs on each spire, they are easily as big or bigger than a Wraithlord. Since there are 2 in the box that is about the same price as an actual WL, it got me thinking:
Could one detach them from the spires, model them on floating platforms and attach arms to make a unique looking WLs?

I mean, of course one could. I'm just spreading the idea for the good of the community.

I honestly don't think it would look that good, but I'm open to being proved wrong. Where would you get appropriately sized arms other than the Wraithlord kit? If you're just using them as dual-heavy-weapon platforms then maybe you wouldn't need arms?

Getting my hands on one of those hats for a 'normal' Wraithlord sounds like a plan though...

{Edit} Just found a better view of the side. I had assumed the legs were just combined together but they do look separate at the front at least. Still think it'll be difficult to separate the back of the legs from the arch and make it look good.

They look bigger than normal WL.
Given their "flowing" vibe, I think they would work even better for Wraithseers.
But as Quanar said, I think the main issue is procuring the arms.

Well, you can either just attach weapons to the sides of it War Walker style, or eBay the extra arms.

Since the WL kit comes with 2 pairs of arms, finding left overs might not be too hard.

Ah, there would be my mistake. It's been absolute ages since I assembled one and thought they only came with one set.

I think they'd look a bit naff...but better than nothing.

I still can't figure GW's pricing on anything. They're selling these for incredibly cheap compared to most everything else. Obviously part of it is the fact that it's single mold (2 presses), but that's a BIG piece of terrain.

Makes me wonder how a double box set would look set in a cross formation and mounted on a scenic base.
