I'm considering picking up some Bullgors and a Doombulls for allies to my Slaves of Darkness. Are they fairly strong? What's their best load out equipment wise?

Vigo. Spain.

I bought the minotaur hero and a hero unit from Mierce to use them as allies (The shame is that they are 5, so I had to buy a metal minotaur to have 6).

They hit like a truck (As you would expect), and are actually fast. I use them with my khorne bloodbound barbarian horde. The problem is that the enemy always, always focus them first, because they are very obvious in the middle of a human horde.
But alas, something has to die first. Normally, its the Minotaurs. But when they don't, they reach meele, and then the carnage begins.

I'm not gonna say they are the most OP thing ever, but they are far from the worst. They look very cool, and minotaurs are heavy-metal. Is not something that is gonna make you feel like they make your list actually worse from bringing them.

Of course in a ultra competitive level, they don't make the cut, but in the 90% rest of the games? They are fine.

Excellent. Yeah I don't really plan on playing in a competitive meta, just a friendly semi-competitive one. What are your thoughts on the Doombulls? Between them all, if I do take them as Allies, I figure I'll just take the Blood feast Gorgers box, as that gives me a Ghorgon and Bullgors. The Doombulls only seem good if you run an all Warherd army, as it's one Command trait per General right?

Also, I agree, they'll probably get fogucsed first, but I figure if it keeps off the pressure on my Knights Warriors and Chariots, then it's worth it at 180 points. Plus my Sorceror Lord can buff them and if they get in they'll wreck house.

What equipment do you give them? The Great Axes with the -2 Rend seem the way to go, as I'm lacking that.

Vigo. Spain.

Great Axes all the way. Just point them agaisnt elite units and no agaisnt chaff.

The Doombull is good with a full warherd army, but looking at AoS 2.0 command points sistem, you will be able to use command habilities of your heroes for 1 Commandpoint, so that probably will make the Doombull more worth if if you have at least 6 Bullgors. But at that point you'll be playing generic Chaos (O do it sometimes).

If not, then ist just better to have 6 bullgors for 360 instead of 3 +1 Doombull. (Or 3 bullgors and 1 cyghor/gorghon but to be honest I don't have those models and haven't played them)
