We have a thread about this in the news and rumour forum but I figured we should have one in 40k general as well. 40k for young readers (8+ years). Snark away.

His pattern of returning alive after being declared dead occurred often enough during Cain's career that the Munitorum made a special ruling that Ciaphas Cain is to never be considered dead, despite evidence to the contrary.

CalArt style and tone has no place in the 40k universe.

This smacks of decisions being made for all the wrong reasons.

And what happens when Karen buys these for her kids, then they ask for more, and she buys the Night Lords Omnibus without looking into it first, then throwing a wobbly when Timmy has nightmares and causes Moral Panic mk34,522,535 because of it?

This has zero benefit to anyone. If a kid is interested in 40k they probably aren't reading books "aimed" for their age anyway. I started when I was 11 and I would consider that the low end of the reasonable age bracket to start.

It makes me think of Teen Titans Go. That and the fact that it should say "Attack of the NecronS" is all I really can say about that.

It's nice they're making child dedicated content though they should do that with adults.

I think it's a good idea.

I am waiting for release before I have final opinions. But it's Udon who is doing it. And they are normally still keep mature themes in young adult/child friendly way.

Art style will do well for eastern markets as this kind of art and comics is up and coming.

It's a good way for the hobbyists who are now becoming parents or their children are coming up to age they can get involved they can share the hobby with them without explaining to their 10 year old about how the women doing the painting in Fulgrim is using the poo and blood and other bodily fluids of corpses to get the perfect colours.

This could work but only if it was like the cartoons like justice league, power puff girls and all the 90s cartoons. Basically, if they were made for children but had an undertone of some extremely adult humour and themes... but GW is neither smart enough or capable of this.

many thanks for the thought, time and effort anyway

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
