I had an odd dream, and wanted to post this somewhere that google might read it.

I personally feel that modern humanity is the remnants of a fallen global civilization that is older than we think. I believe that the line, 'Let there be Light,' in Genesis for instance, refers to what Patrick Stewart's character in Dune referred to as 'Atomics'. I feel that the Garden of Eden may have been a bomb shelter, and God may have been the system administrator ensuring the survival of the occupants.

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/12/09/ancient_dilmun_garden_eden_gulf_lost_civilisation/

Enough background.

The dream had to do with how to get in contact with old administrators like this. The idea was to distribute inductive chargers with a limited wireless handshake capability to archeological and paleological sites around the world.

Why post it here? honestly, because it was a dream and the idea may come around as being well, stupid. If I had a background in such things, it would be one thing, but I am a college dropout in a dead end menial job.

why inductive charging with limited handshaking protocols?
The devices we would be trying to contact would have been inert for geological periods of time. The devices' ability to hold a charge may be gone, but the ability to 'ping' the environment may not be.

Why limited handshake ability?
I don't want to trip what are called 'mousetraps'

http://robotech.wikia.com/wiki/Boobytrap

and I especially don't want to activate what is called 'Grey Goo'

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey_goo

what would be the idea?
run the inductive charger with wireless handshaking around ancient artifacts, deserts, dusty areas, anywhere left alone for extended lengths of time. I'd be more interested in trying areas like around here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_nuclear_fission_reactor

generally, ignore anywhere with active life or renewable soil, as the areas would be unlikely to give the sort of return that I am interested in. The dream was running old casks of wine or jars of honey over such a charger looking for electronic echoes where there shouldn't be such things. Such a device should be cheap and easily producible, with a simple way to simply say 'we're here' to any hardware that might be able to respond. The dream was getting in contact with an AI who was in a distributed array of nanites in a wine cask.

Deep background; there is a game series called, 'The Elder Scrolls' that consist of games like Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. In each of them there are things called Dwemer Ruins, where an advanced civilization had extremely advanced technology that survived the erasure of their species. Once, when wandering such ruins I thought that what could have led to their destruction could have been something like wireless technology; if everything they had was controlled by the 'internet of things' and they lost control of it, their security apparatus would have destroyed their descendants as the automatons wouldn't have been able to have their security protocols updated with the identities of succeeding generations.

'No plan survives contact with the enemy. Who are we?'
'THE ENEMY!!!'

Make up whatever is necessary for the needs of your plot. You aren't writing a hard science fiction story with a premise like this so obsessing over the details of how things work isn't really worth it. Focus on what your characters and plot require, the things that are actually getting people to read your story, and don't fall into the trap of over-explaining nonsense technology. It isn't going to add anything to the realism of the story, it can only distract from more important things and occasionally annoy readers who are familiar enough with the subject to spot your mistakes.

(I'm assuming you're talking about a science fiction story you're trying to write, because the premise of this thread is so obviously wrong that it can't possibly be a genuine belief.)

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Probably work

Well, I guess it;s probably no nuttier than most other faith-based concepts.
