Stalwart Strike Squad Grey Knight

Tasmania

Hello again Dakka,

I recently acquired a large old school space wolves army. There aren't any new shiny things, but a bunch of forge world upgrades. I thought it would be cool to give them a try on the table. They are SO pretty!!

I have never built anything in this kind of style before, and it will only see use at my FLGS, so im not trying to be overly competetive. I just wanted to know if this looked reasonably okay without doing anything too stupid. It only uses a battalion.

HQ:

- Wolf Lord
> frost axe, storm shield

- Wold Lord w/ terminator armor
> TH/SH, warlord (TS)

TROOPS:

- 15 Blood Claws
> Pack leader w/ power axe, 2 plasma guns

- 10 Grey Hunters
> Plasma pistol (I just had the extra points here, could be better served as a HK on the razorback + SB on the LR)

- 5 Grey Hunters
> Meltagun

ELITES:

- Dreadnought
> CC weapon / Multi-melta

- Dreadnought
> CC weapon / Multi-melta

- Venerable Dreadnought
> Great Wolf Claw / Twin autocannon

- 8 Wolf Guard + Pack Leader w/ Terminator Armor
> LC's on all (TH/SS on only the pack leader)

- Lukas the Trickster

HEAVY SUPPORT:

- Land Raider Crusader
> Multi-melta

TRANSPORT:

- Razorback
> Heavy Bolter, SB

Yea, I realise that its all over the place, but it does look reasonably cohesive all next to each other. So that's a plus at least.

The general plan here is to load up Lukas with the bloodclaws in the crusader as a big nasty melee blob that can overload plasma in complete safety. (with the exception of hit penalties)

The small hunter squad goes with the PA lord in the razorback to do whatever they need to do. The 10 man unit can camp an objective or screen for any of the other units (probably the Dreadnoughts)

That's about as far as the plan goes really. Any advice on how to improve this without buying a billion TW cavalry models would be nice. I have access to any of the basic power armour models range, including long fangs with any loadout you can dream of. plus another 30 or so terminators in any configuration. (This guy had loads that he just gave me, like 40 something... ) I also have some more dreadnoughts and a few skyclaws that I can mix in. I'm not adverse to the idea of buying a few things to round this out as a decent 'fair' TAC list. I already have my competitive streak covered by all my other forces.

As always, all comments are welcome, Thanks Dakka.
