Some of you have ever tried to play BA in 15mm? I'm putting up two little armies (USA&german for Normandy breakout) using battlefront minis, very simple to paint and no assembly issue

I need to get back to it, but I have 15mm US Marines for Bolt Action that I want to play against a club member's Japanese. I think 15mm or 1/72nd should work fine.

I'm tempted to have movement be in cm and ranges in inches to force a bit more shooting.

We tried it locally when BA first came out, to use FoW models we already had, a platoon blister costing essentially nothing in the scheme of things to try it out.

Works very well, especially if you leave the ranges alone, weapon ranges start to feel better

I like the suggestion of moving in cm and shooting in inches. However, how do you all handle templates? Do you shrink them by 40% or leave them as is?

Also, how do you base your 15mm figures? Individually on 15mm bases? I am thinking of using pennies as bases.

Lastly, I am only just beginning to explore Bolt Action. I have a few questions...

1. What is the smallest (in number of figures) game the designers recommend playing?
2. Which books do I need to game North Africa, Alamein through Kasserine?

Thanks,

Henry R.
