I actually got some minis painted for Men of Bronze by a friend of mine. They are all Victrix Limited figures from their nice Ancient Greek and Macedonian ranges.

A Spartan Phalanx flanked by armed Helots as Psiloi.

Here is a phalanx of Corinthian Hoplites to battle against the Spartans during the Corinthian War. The Corinthian War took place after Sparta beat the Delian League/Athens in the Pelopenession War. Eventually, an alliance of Athens, Corinth, Argos, and Thebes fought against eh new Spartan Hegemony with Persian aid. The war was on land and sea. Eventually, as the Allies began to gain momentum, the Persians switched and started backing the Spartans again and the war pretty much sputtered out.

You can read up and see a lot more of these guys on my blog if you are so inclined....

Nice! I must admit whilst I enjoyed your battle report posts, the pieces of paper were not exactly cinematic

I hope you're enjoying playing with your new blokes!

Agreed, will be nice to see some figures on the table. How has your hunt for Persians gone?

Not well!

I will probably hold off until I get these three done before expanding into Persians much more.

Here is a few more shots:

Archers and Psiloi prepare to defend the river bank. These guys can really be part of any army at this point. They were the auxilliary troops and frequently ignored or barely mentioned in the sources since Western military forces tended to focus on the Heavy Infantry uber alles.

Here the Spartans defend the gates from an approaching Corinthian phalanx and their support troops. Maybe the Javelisn and arrows will soften the Spartans up before the push of shield and spear finishes them off? That is the hope of the Corinthians anyway.
