So I am going to a tournament this weekend 1500pts using all the new FAQ/probationary rules.

I have 3 lists built and am not sure which to use. All 3 I think will be fun to use. Can I get some comments on each? Thx.

List #1:Tyranids Battalion(Leviathan)

So I plan to start with all the Flyrants and rippers in reserve and the rest will be in a blob within 3" of my Malanthrope. So first turn I burrow my Mawlocs and maby DS in flyrants if the enemy closes quickly but likely will keep in reserve for turn 2 freedom.
Everything on the table is -1 to be hit and 6+ FNP due to Leviathan and will shuffle forward with GS chaining back to Malanthrope for shroud.
Turn 2 all hell breaks loose as my Flyrants all come in with Mawlocs and my GS advance and assault with Malan and Nero support.

EZ enough Artillary bracketed by Com Tank and Russ w Inf Bubble wrap. All the GSC Cult Ambush/Reserve
1st turn Try to clear the chaff or bubblewrap with the artillary and tanks wile the 20 Genestealers go for the perfect ambush (5 or 6 on 3 dice rerolling if needed with Primus) 2 Magus ambush somewhere close enough for mass hypnossis/Mind control. Let the carnage begin.


All three are a bit cheezy but it is a tourniment so any major holes or things any of them need? Thx for the input.

I think #1 will do the best for you. The GSC looks pretty nice too.

I agree with pinecone77 here, your first list looks like the best. You at least won’t be worried by time, whereas with the 2nd list moving all the seperate Genestealer blobs around may find you fighting the clock as much as your opponent.

I was thinking of dropping a Mawloc and replaceing with a 4x Div/Acid maw Carnifex to hang out with the Nero and Malan as in a test game I see these guys getting picked on mid game.

Sounds good, have you considered making the Mawlocs Kronos? they tend to be outside Synapse, so Leviathan is less useful.
