Hey all!
New member here, been playing since Dark Imperium was released, but I have been collecting models since 7th edition. Maybe earlier. I purchased my very first models around the same time Space Marine was released for the PS3, and I believe it was a kit of Tyranid Warriors or a Hive Tyrant. One of those came first, and came out with a GOD-AWFUL paint scheme. Since then, I didn’t follow the tabletop at all, I just liked to collect the bugs because they reminded me heavily of the Zerg from Starcraft , and to an extent, my favorite movie villain of all time the Xenomorph. Fast forward a few years i join the military and happen to walk into a hobby shop with my pal, and notice a huge selection of Warhammer stuff. Both excited, we pick up a kit to begin our new armies to start clashing in the 41st Millennium. We both decided to grab a box of Dark Imperium and trade with eachother the opposite half to bolster our forces greater, leaving me with none other than the Heretics of the Death Guard. Since then, I’ve been collecting them like mad, having a hell of a time painting the models, and finally fielding them on the table. Then recently, I remember i have a buuuuunch or space bugs back home and have them sent to me, and there it is, my first loves from when i was first introduced introduced to the 40k universe.
That’s just a little backstory of my relatively short time wargaming, but i hope I get to interact with this community a whole lot more! Stay tuned for progression pictures of my Hive Fleet as i attempt to get them all painted before I finish my military service obligation.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Try to rescue some of the guardsmen before they all burn up.

They taste better medium-rare.
