Been working on these guys for a while. I decided to dirty them up a bit so they weren’t showroom new. Also, they look a bit redder than in person. The red is a little darker. This is the first lot, I’ve got a ton more coming. I have here an assault squad, tactical, heavy support, a Rhino, and a Contemptor. I gave that guy the underslung assault cannons using FW rotor cannons. I went for a “snub nose” look. I think it kind of works.

Nice work on the BA. Did I miss one of your army blogs? I enjoy watching your projects come together, but don’t recall seeing these guys.

Noodles- Thank you sir, I really appreciate your comments. As always. And this is a new thread, you caught it early.

Silverback- thanks!

Nevelon- thanks man, always happy when you drop by. I’m just doing a PM thread on these guys. Things have been busy and I didn’t think I’d be able to do a proper WIP thread. Going to in the next one though. I’m thinking Space Wolves and Alpha Legion.

So, some more infantry and a Predator. I didn’t want to go assault cannon crazy on the army in case FW limits their use. Used lots of FW transfers again. They look great. The infantry is the second assault and second tactical squad. I plan to add a couple more Assault Marines to the squads and 5 more tacticals to this one.

Youwashock- Thanks, glad you are liking it. Took me a while to figure out how to weather a model without completely ruining the paint job. And took me a while to learn weathering powders are actually a cruel trick devised by model companies.

So, 10 Tartarus Terminators. One has the awesome auto cannon I took off a Storm Raven. It’s a little large for the model, but what the hell. These guys are gonna ride large in the Spartan.

I was going to say the opposite - the models themselves look great, but the assault cannon is really bizarre looking. Scale is way off.

Really awesome army so far!

Only thing that sticks out like a sore thumb is that assault cannon though. It’s really cartoonishly big and throws off the whole look.

Otherwise fantastic army, love it immensely!

It might be a little big, but 40k has often embraced a little over the top wackyness.

If you are looking for more man portable scale AsCs, you might want to find some of the old Ravenwing accessory sprues.

Looking good man. Although the cannon on that terminator is comically large lol.

Well, thanks everyone for the encouraging words on the army overall. I’m glad the y’all like the weathered look. Also, thanks for the constructive criticism on the AC. The gun doesn’t look as big in person, but the pictures really show the off scale. I’ll see what I can do.

Tartarus Terminator with the Assault Cannon is true Russian Heavy Weapons Guy!

Yes, the Termies do look fantastic, but do have a think about the AC. It is actually really funny (in a good way), and would make Heavy very proud indeed!

Thanks Cosmic, maybe the assault cannon is more Angry Marines.

Paradigm, thanks for stopping by. Never a party till you show up.

So, I got the Sicaran finished up and I’m pretty happy with it. Those FW transfers are just awesome. Also some Plasma marines because, of course. I’ve added a shot of an Alpha Legion marine, thinking about this metallic scheme for the next army. Any opinions are appreciated.

The Angels are great - I love the subtle non-verbal from the first Jump sgt armed with shield and fist. The Venator looks great in your scheme. Nice weathering and wear-and-tear.

I look forward to the finished Alpha.

Scott and Fayric- Thanks very much gents!

So it’s been a while since I posted an update. I have some Sanguinary Guard I made using Palatine Blades bodies. I think they worked out pretty well and matched up nicely with the 40k pieces. I added some wings because I found some art on the internet depicting them so. Not sure if official but definitely Blood Angel-y. Also finished up the Whirlwind Scorpius. First time I painted one of these guys, gotta day it’s a cool kit.

Ok, so I think this will just about do it. The Destroyers are a little disappointing. The paint job looks a little thick, it’s just a series of washes, so not sure how that happened. The Spartan is really cool, it’s the first one I’ve ever painted. Came along easier than I thought. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to take a look and drop a comment. I’ll be putting these guys for sale so let me know if anyone is interested. Next up is the 6th!

And the Destroyers have the silver death masks from Sanguinary Guard kit. I read a rumor post the 9th will have this look for their special Destroyers. So I figured why not.
