Subject: This place is too quiet while waiting on 2nd Edition, so what is your favorite AoS/Fantasy model?
Just curious what everyone's favorite model is in the Warhammer AoS/Fantasy line of models. It can be some of the old models that have been discontinued to the most recent Idoneth Deepkin model. I want to know what your favorite AoS model is.
While this may seem rather cliche, I really like the Vanguard-Palladors from the Stormcast Eternals...

The mounts for the Vanguard-Palladors are utterly fantastic - forget the riders, just the beasts alone are great. A huge step forward from the two or three pose generic horses that we had in the past.
When I saw them I half wanted to start up a Sigmar army just for them, though chances are I will get some for conversions one day. *stares at demigryphs still in the box for another convsion one day as well*
Also if the cover-monster for the new Sigmar additions (as hinted on the start of their release video) turns out half as good as the artwork I'll likely want to get that as well
Otherwise there's these great winged beasties too
I just some how have to work out how to add all these beasties into one army conversion setup (or continue to hold out and hope that they turn the wood-elves into a beast-heavyarmy)
Probably the best miniature ever produced by GW, at least in my opinion. The amount of detail it has, being such a "small" model is just breath-taking. If I had to pick just ONE model, it would be Krell.
Spoiler:
How could I leave just this out? The best demon model made by GW.
Spoiler:
This third one, many people don't like or even know him because his live-time was relatively short, and he was veeeery expensive. But oh man isn't he epic
And my two favourite units of all time?
Spoiler:
Spoiler:
I know people will say they are static, old, etc... but what can I say? I love brutes clad in plate armour advancing silently and menacing. I just falled in love with the archetipical chaos warrior after the Mark of Chaos cinematic.
Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

"Unimaginably ancient xenos artefact somewhere on the planet, hive fleet poised above our heads, hidden 'stealer broods making an early start....and now a bloody Chaos cult crawling out of the woodwork just in case we were bored. Welcome to my world, Ciaphas."
Inquisitor Amberley Vail, Ordo Xenos
"I will admit that some Primachs like Russ or Horus could have a chance against an unarmed 12 year old novice but, a full Battle Sister??!! One to one? In close combat? Perhaps three Primarchs fighting together... but just one Primarch?" da001
Alarielle from sylvaneth is pretty high on my my list of "i desperatly want this model but i cannot give it the paintjob it deserves"
tought just the lady, i dont fancy the bug.
For fantasy i was allways intrigued by sisters of twilight on forest dragon
and the green night

I LOVE the pusgoyle blightlord kit. Whether its the lord of afflictions or the pusgoyles themselves. I cant tell if its the dick horns on the saddle of the vomitting incubatch being gripped by the eyes that does it for me. That one pusgoyle looks pretty smug if you ask me.

I'm rather partial to the Angharad Brightshield model:
Spoiler:
I think it gets the balance right between obviously being female and actually looking like a proper badass warrior rather than a cosplayer/stripper. And there's no extraneous detail or silly flashy/swirly bits to indicate she's some sort of exceptional character. She's not a one-off token warrior-woman in a world where every other person with armour and a sword is male (*cough*Valkia*cough*). She's just a fairly standard Stormcast Liberator who happens to be female. She's one of the very few female miniatures GW have ever made where her gender is merely a secondary characteristic rather than her defining feature (*cough*Morathi*cough*). More like this, please!
A little bit of righteous anger now and then is good, actually. Don't trust a person who never gets angry.

I was trying to explain the Seraphon to a friend last night.
"They're Mezoamerican dinosaurs that fight evil. They even have some dinosaurs riding other dinosaurs! You have dinosaurs riding velociraptors, and another dinosaur riding a carnotaurus! You also have the dinosaur wizards and the dinosaur with a laser cannon on its back!" It was at this moment that I realized the army was designed by an eight-year-old, and that is why I love them.

This is a really hard choice. My honest opinion is that the best models are:
Medusai Blood Sisters
Morathi
Nagash
Lord Celestant on a Star Drake
Vanguard Hunters
Vanguard Palladors
I love all of these sculpts so much. They look fantastic and just make me want to play this game! Rumors of 2nd edition from early this year have been stopping me until now.

This lovely gentleman. My neighbors got me one, out of the blue(no pun intended!), as a "thank you" for the fact that I constantly sit with their elderly relative that lives with them.
I'm taking my time painting mine as it's a big, thoughtful gift on their part and it's a centerpiece model for my Idoneth. I need to sit down one day and get pictures/painting.

The Idoneth Deepkin Allopex. Prior to that, it was the Melusai from Daughters of Khaine. I used to not have a favorite, but these aelf releases have had me super hyped.

I'm not really a fan of that wizard but the lord and white lion there are gorgeous.
I'm also not a fan of that giant Deepkin guy with the water cloak but I love the concept. If it were more of a normal sized hero model (bigger than a mook sure, but not giant) with a cloak of water that'd have been super cool.

The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

The two heroes were just High Elf Princes. They had different weapons to represent the Magic Weapons available at the time.

I was actually okay with the size after I got to read the fluff. Eidolons are closer to being Nighthaunt styled constructs than they are physical beings. They're Idoneth souls drawn from the 'soulbanks' and given form by the Idoneth. They envision the Eidolons as taking the form of Mathlann, based upon the stories they have been handing down since they fled Teclis' attentions.
It's actually what has affected my painting ideas for him. Bright, golden armor for the Aspect of the Storm despite Mor'phann being a black armor with purple/blue sheens.
