Maybe we could submit a petition for some new eldar Forgeworld. I’d like to see some craft world specific stuff coming out. Maybe new wraith constructs with different Weaponry. Or new types of jetbikes for Saim hann. The imperium and space marines get all the attention. Would be nice to see some new Xenos scum too

Petitions won't really do much good.
What would likely cause FW to produce more eldar is people buying more FW eldar over several months, which would spark sufficient financial interest for FW to push staff into the half a year or so that it takes to make a new FW model from the ground up. So you'd need probably a solid year of high Eldar sales to push an eldar update.

Pretty much this, but thanks to the last CA update rendering all but the Hornet, Nightwing and Spectres unplayable in non-apoc games I likewise can't see it happening

Yeah because FW is optional and boutique within an hobby its kind of a situation where it has bad self feedback loops.

They make lots of imperial stuff which thus sells more which thus makes them make more imperial/marine stuff which thus sells more.

Meanwhile Xeno and Sigmar stuff doesn't sell half as much and thus they see potential diminishing returns for investing in those lines. Which means those lines see less potential investment and thus have less to offer and so make less potential sales.


That said I think over the last year or so FW has had some big changes. They've apparently setup a full Sigmar team dedicated to that game line so we should see more Sigmar stuff in about a year or so. They also do release a few Xeno things, but nothing like the volume that Marines/Imperials get. Heck Dark Eldar have very little whilst a lot of ork and eldar stuff is very old.

I think FW is going to focus a bit more on Xenos, its just hard to when its the boutique line that sells a lot lot less and also has so much marine stuff (And that's before you add in all the Horus Heresy stuff

The last preview they posted for a 40k unit was a big Necron "titan".

Mind you, between Lord of the Rings, Necromunda, Blood Bowl, Adeptus Titanicus and Horus Heresy, I don't think new models for 40k is a priority. Don't hold your breath.

Some time ago I have asked FW directly if they are working/planning on something Eldar and their response was negative. I have also asked them recently about possibilities of reintroducing some retired designs like Falcon/Serpent Type II kits and the answer was also negative. And the way they answered the latter make it more probable to loose some now available designs rather than gain any new in any forseeable future.

Nou that doesn't surprise me - its a negative feedback loop in that Eldar don't have a huge amount to buy and nothing very new, so even within the interested market that can afford it there is already restricted interest. Plus a lack of big new things means less marketing spent on them as well; so there's a good chance many don't even realise what FW makes for Eldar.

I'm willing to bet the new necron Titan boost sales in the other necron products even if just because people have a reason to notice and pay attention to the releases.

That is a good point. If they would periodically release something new for each race even if it was small. They would draw attention to the other units in that races line up

The problem with Eldar FW line is that pretty much everything except for Warp Hunters, Hornets, Shadow Spectres and Wasps is single purchase product (and even from this lineup Wasps are more of an aesthetic purchase because those are easily enough convertible to "count as" from stock GW kit). So there won't ever be a huge demand. And from what I gather from wandering the web only Avatar is a frequent purchase, with Lynx, Scorpion, Cobra and titans being sporadic to emerge on any blog/pinterest/cool-mini gallery, and there is only a single (!) customer painted Skathach foundable on Pinterest.

Guess I better buy a scorpion. I’m gonna support my cheesedar on Forgeworld.
