It has been asked for. It has been brought up in threads I know mods read in there. Can we get some basic rules?

Can we also not locke threads just because users disagree with the mods? Or just because a mod thinks a thread is "stupid"?

Except that MDG's thread *was* stupid, and it deserved to be locked.

If MDG wants to post garbage screeds, let him do so on his blog.

But if Geek Media needs any rules, how about this:

It rapidly became a gak thread because people posted tons of gak into it.

If you want a rule, here it is: Don't post gak.
