From the Battle Primer, Movement Phase, under "Falling Back"
Units starting the Movement phase within 1" of an enemy unit can either remain stationary or Fall Back. If you choose to Fall Back, the unit must end its move more than 1" away from all enemy units. If a unit Falls Back, it cannot Advance (see below), or charge (pg 182) later that turn. A unit that Falls Back also cannot shoot later that turn unless it can FLY.
So, No, you may not Advance as part of a Fall Back move.

That question doesn't make a lot of sense. What do you mean "an extra inch"? When you consolidate into an enemy, you get your 3" consolidate move and that's it. What "extra inch" do you mean?

When you have to be within 1 inch of the enemy and you get the piling into them. So do you you get that extra inch when you consolidate 3 inch and can you refer to a rule in the rulebook or Faq thank you

The consolidation move is up to 3 inches.

Consolidate and Pile In are two different steps at practically opposite ends of the Fight phase, so unless your unit has the ability to fight again, they don't get to Consolidate and then got back to Pile In again. You can Consoldiate to within 1" of an enemy unit, and then that enemy unit becomes available for your opponent to activate and fight with (if they have not already fought, or have the ability to fight again) but unless your unit has the ability to fight again AND declared a charged against the enemy unit, they cannot be activated to fight again.

When you consolidate you move 3" closer to the nearest enemy unit.
After making this 3" move, if you are within 1" of the enemy you are now locked into melee combat with that enemy.

Yes, you still get your extra inch because it's not an extra inch at all. Melee weapons simply have a range of 1".

After you consolidate you won't get to "pile in" until you select that unit to fight (which will likely be next turn) so you will sit there for a while 1" away from the enemy. More than likely, the enemy will pile into you before you will get a chance to pile in.
