So as the title states I recently came into a pretty huge army of Brayherd and Warherd, Its half painted and its about 3700 pts. I wanted to try to build a small 1000-1500 point list out of it to finish up the paint job piece by piece and learn how to play them before adding on more. I could use advice from any vet beastmen players out there in forum land .

So far I was thinking this for a 1000pt list

Allegiance: Brayherd
Leaders
Beastlord (80)
- General
- Pair of Man-ripper Axes
- Trait: Lord of War
- Artefact: Ramhorn Helm
Great Bray Shaman (90)
- Artefact: Crown of Conquest
Great Bray Shaman (90)
Battleline
20 x Bestigors (280)
20 x Gors (160)
- Gor-Blades & Beastshields
20 x Gors (160)
- Two Gor-Blades
Units
2 x Tuskgor Chariots (120)
Total: 980 / 2000
Allies: 0 / 400
Wounds: 87

For actual numbers of what I now own,
44 Un-gors (20 with spear and shield, 24 with maul and shield)
62 Gors (34 with gor blade and shield, 28 with double blades)
28 Bestigors
5 Great Bray-Shaman
4 Beastlords ( One with axe and shield the rest with 2handed axe)
7 Tuskgor Chariots
1 Doombull
12 Bullgors ( 2 with a banner, 7 with 2 handed axe and 3 unassembled)
1 Cygor
1 Ghorgon
1 Full Sprue that can be either Cygor or Ghorgon
21 Chaos Warhounds.

Also between me and my brother, we play all of chaos besides Slaneesh at the moment (waiting for them lusty updates) so i can for more or less add in anything else out of the different factions of chaos if need be including monsters.

Not too sure about the Brayherd, but you could make a Warherd army pretty easily.

1x Doombull
3x Bullgors
3x Bullgors
3x Bullgors
3x Bullgors
1x Ghorgon or Cygor

That comes in at about 1040 and is a pretty beefy and devastating army.

Your Brayherd army looks fine though, typical of what I've seen.

Not sure how much this helps but I have found that gors tend to work best as a 30 man discount tar pits or as relatively cheep ten man objective grabs.

To those that say there is no stupid questions I say, "Is this a stupid question?"

Perusing the AoS reddit page points dump thread has got me tentatively excited.

For the army dearest to my heart for the last 4-5 editions, Brayherds:

-Gors + Ungors(non bow equpped) remain the same. Fair enough.
-Bestigors went down 20 points. They are very solid at that price, imo. Bravery will be a problem but thats always been the nature of the... uh .. Beast.
-Ungor Raiders lost Massive Regiment price bonus. I never really took the max anyway, thats alot to push around and tons of dice. Plus their scaling ability is pretty bonkers.
-Beastlord went up 10 points. Say wut? Unless his command ability is changing drastically , I’m baffled. I guess he’s more surviveable with Look out Sir! But he still melts in HtH, in my experience. Not a huge jump, but still...
-Bray Shaman went up 10 as well. Perfectly acceptable, as Devolve looks amazing and I think he keeps Savage Dominion.
-Windstalker Brayherd down 30 points. Never really took it before at the previous price, combined with Beastlords being somewhat suspect it seemed wasteful. Primal Fury was amazing though. May rethink it now.

Not expecting top tier mind you, but definitely seems like improvements. Coupled with new spells and other tools, might be something here.

Now just to get “eyes on” confirmation on Warherds points reductions. Hearing good things, but need to verify the extent. Bullgors are getting reduced points, but have seen, nothing concrete. Cygors supposedly going down in points aswell, combined with new 30 inch unbind rule makes their 2 unbinds ability pretty gnarly, if it remains intact. Again, not expecting Top tier with Warherd either, but I’m happy for some changes!
