So I was thinking of playing as Stormcast Eternals, but I really hate the lore behind them, maybe it's coming from being a fan of 40K but I hate when it's just purely "the good guy", so I was thinking of playing Stormcast Eternals who were over-zealous, smited "heretics" over really minor stuff ect, but would this work lore wise?

Knights Excelsior have always been purge-happy jackasses.

Have a read of the Malign Portents short stories - there's some over-zealous Stormcast in there.

Hallowed Knights are pretty zealous too.

Is there a permanent stickied thread for Chaos players to complain every time someone/anyone gets models or rules besides them? If not, there should be.

Have a read of anything. None of them are "bright noble good guys".

My army is coming really slowly. In other words almost not at all. It started when Age of Sigmar came out. My Stormcasts have broken away from Sigmar the Coward, Sigmar the false god, Sigmar the Betrayer. These Stormcasts have found out the real Sigmar and see him as the most vile person ever lived. These Stormcasts are Orruks or Aelfs, or humans, or Orgers, what ever. They were robbed of being with their loved ones. Their loved ones could have survived if they were not kidnapped. Their loved ones and tribemates or villiage were wiped out because Sigmar kidnapped them and turned them against their will.

Lots of my Stormcasts while HATE wearing Sigmars armour and weaponry, they do so to SPITE him now. Since they can't hurt Sigmar physically at the moment, they can do an even great hurt and hurt him emotionally. So they let Sigmar watch them kill his own creations with his very own tools.

Yes I know this is a copy of 40K Chaos marines, but I take it more of a fall from heaven approach. After all how can you even consider Sigmar a god for what he has done?

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

If you think Stormcast Eternals are "the good guy" then you really haven't read their lore. They're more or less exactly the same as Space Marine chapters: a couple care about the average person, most are indifferent, and some are zealots who would burn a whole village to the ground because there was a single chaos worshipper there.

Yes
Wrong. You can always be more zealous

What's the appeal of Stormcast? I want to like them but I don't.

I like knights in shiny armor. I also like things with wings. There's an intersection there I want to like, but the armor is a little too bulky for my liking when they're in flight.
