I'm easily distracted. I bounce from one shiny thing to the next. This fact has been the bane of many a project over the years. So, I'm going to try something out. Instead of throwing all my eggs in one basket, I'm gonna divide them into a few baskets. When one gets a little tedious, I can jump to the other one and come back when I'm fresh.

Here is what I have been working on over the past few weeks:
-Tyranids (my serious army)
-WW2 themed Astra Militarum (my less serious army)
-Angry Marines (my "for the lulz" army)
-Slaanesh stuff (sculpting and converting project)

My Tyranid project is broken up into 500 point blocks. The first 500 is assembled and primed.

The WW2 themed Guard (Henderson's Heroes) project is also being built in 500 point blocks but still has a ways to go.

And then the ANGRY MARINES. I just kicked this project off, so it is very early WIP. Whittling of plasticard and sculpting of greenstuff will be happening a lot.

I'm not exactly sure what I will update next, but your input is always welcome in the meantime

Thank you both!

@Sinful Hero - The heads are from the Bolt Action US Airborne kit.

I forgot to post some pics of my Slaanesh project. This has been my most intensive converting/sculpting project to date drawing inspiration from a number of sources. I've been working on this on and off for about 2 weeks and she is nearly complete. The last bits of sculpting needed are on the feet, the spines, and the upper body around the tentacles. Fair warning, THIS IS REALLY WEIRD.

Thank you, I was very happy with how the heads worked out. I have some German grenadiers as well and one of the heads looks promising for a Commissar conversion.

So, along with all my 40k projects, I also have three other things going on. I'm writing a D&D campaign, I have a USAriadna army to build and paint, and then I have a few KD:M minis to paint.

I primed these minis last weekend and I am itching to get some painting done. Not sure which one to do first...

I do love that model...

I've nearly finished my Slaanesh greater demon. The last bits of sculpting are nearly done and then all that is left is the base and we can get to some painting! In the mean time, I broke out my USAriadna starter kit and had a blast putting those minis together. All that pewter made me nostalgic...

Should be fun to paint these guys.

Good to see and good luck!
For the ADD the hard part is sticking to a limited list you can circulate in.

I think we just saw you branch out to many more "projects".

Count as of now:

Kingdom of Death (Qty 2, paint)
USAriadna (Qty 5, paint)
D&D Campaign (How big?)
Slanesh Army (Qty 1, assy)
Angry Marines Army (Qty 1, assy)
WW2 IG/AM (Qty 5 paint, Qty1 vehicle, assy)
Tyranids (Qty 40, paint)

Total models on the go: 55
Note: based on only what has been shown.
No mention to be made for basing or flocking efforts.

For some prioritizing: which of these are you more likely to start playing a game with any time soon?
Is the D&D campaign arranged or going to get a 40k game in the next week or so?:

I had someone I have been painting/assembling beside every Friday at the FLGS for the last 2 months decide he wanted to play a game with me this Friday.
PANIC!!!! Now I am frantically figuring out 2000 points of marines and trying to be semi-competitive since the guy knows his stuff.
I was so far along pounding away at my Deathwatch army... now I must re-focus on my main army: Black Templar.
I even got one Armiger Helverin together and now have to cast it aside... for now.
Any of this sounding familiar?
I am supposedly the only one in my household not diagnosed with at least AD (2 kids, wife and grandma living with us) and that is looking pretty doubtful.

So many of the "almost done" models are getting attention of my primary army.
Now I got to find my decal set stuff, I have a TON of irritating fiddling to do (templar decal symbols are a real pain in the rear to apply: need to cut a line in each corner so it will not wrinkle on the shoulder pads and then be ready for the inevitable tear).

Arranging to play games with your models always gives a ton of incentive to focus and get them done or at least much further along.

@Talizvar - You make some fair points. As of right now I don't have any real deadlines on any of these projects as of right now. I have a lot of backlogged stuff that I'm throwing myself at. That said, I should probably set some kind of framework moving forward.

I want to get a game in soon so my focus is on the Tyranids since they are the largest project on the table right now. I've gotten started on painting them Hive Fleet Kraken colors.

This is going to be my focus for right now. Maybe I can find some discipline and stick to it until it is finished. We'll see...

In other news, I will be getting a copy of Kingdom Death: Monster 1.5e next week. Emperor protect me...
