CP battery, scouts/w heavy bolters, a techmarine to heal the two levi's and a watchmaster to buff them and the hellblasters that are screening them. Corvus on anti-everything duty. Jump captain being a detterant/assassin.

Is this list too flimsy considering it will be played on a table with decent terrain coverage? How would you change it?

Hi, I think the list looks nasty, but take the followng with a pinch of salt, as I've only recently switched over to DW myself...

Firstly, why are you taking a Corvus with no Vets to put in it?

What's the thinking behind two SCA Levs? I know they're undercosted and extremely powerful, but why double down on so much S7 when we're entering a new T8 meta? 20 SCA shots vs a knight with rotate shields for a 3++ does 3.7 damage.

I'd be temtped to move those 6xhellblasters over to Fortis teams: drop to 5 and you only have to find 66pts per unit, and you've just doubled their survivability, given them obsec and added some nice SIA to the list (seems to be absent right now). Would also let you run a DW batallion, and drop one of those CP batteries.

It's true the corvus has no one to transport, but its actually a pretty decent damage dealer armed as it is. With its ability to drop mortal wounds and the -1 to hit it from flyers, I've never really been disappointed with it.

I find the levi's are quite good even againgst knights since you can pop the +1 to wound stratagem on one of them and raise their damage significantly againgst anything. If you just take one levi, it'll get tied up in melee rather easily (if your opponent knows what he's doing).

I am disappointed at my lack of SIA though yes.

Not gonna lie, I love me some deathwatch, but for very different models than the ones you've picked.

Basic budget loadout I use:

3x 200pts - 10 veterans with stormbolter and chainsword each.
one watch master (beacon angelis)
total 730 pts.

This buys you (at <12" range), 120 SIA shots that hit on 3's (rerolling misses), and wound on 2's (if hellfire), rerollling 1's if you've got the tactics sorted right. These models can also be teleported in, if you fancy it, and to cap it off, with chainswords they have 90 attacks total in assault.

Thats the basic loadout, you can add a vanguard veteran for fallback and shoot, with a stormshield for eating heavy fire, a terminator for soaking some 2+ saves. Leaving them in cover adds a lot to their survivability though. A frag cannon or two really adds to their overwatch resistance, but this does start hitting the pts quite hard.

If you really want to bling it, take the max heavy weapon terminators all with cyclones and stormbolters. You'll keep your 40 shots per squad, but also add in 8 krak missiles (or 8 frag), with the rerolls for hits giving them a good chance to hit,
With +1 to wound doctrine as an option, even T8 vehicles will be taking 30+ wounds at -2 from this blob.

Ultimately its a hilarious unit that will blow almost anything away once it lands, and can auspex anything that wants to surprise it. If you do some elaborate weaving of the squads, it becomes almost impossible to charge, as they will have to declare charges against all the squads to be able to get within 1" of models from one squad only, so 120 shots, rerolling misses, is still 30-40 hits, even when hitting on 6's, and wounding on 2's.

They'll obviously fold quickly to plasma fire etc. but holy hell are they a point and remove option for you.

Downside is modelling them :(

Using Hellblasters to screen the Levi's? I get you want to keep them from getting tied up but that's a very expensive screening unit. Why not make them fortis teams to mix in some intercessors for both ablative wounds and SIA? You could drop a scout squad and shrink the infantry squads to find the points to make a 5x5 or 5x4 fortis team squad of intercessors and HBs to keep roughly the same amount of plasma on the field

In order to field Relic Leviathan Dreadnoughts, you need to field at least one other non-relic heavy support units. So for two Relic Levi's, you need two other heavy support units. That translates to bare bones hellblaster squads.

Just some forest for the trees, SIA is loaded in Primaris Riever Carbines. Imagine 40 SIA shots before the cliche smoke bomb and they grapel gun away into the night.
