Hello all, I have recently made a deal with a friend of mine.
I will be painting his Tau army for a payment of 2000pts of an army of my choice. This friend is the guy who introduced me to GW way back in 1997.
I sent him a list I came up with for Daughters of Khaine and asked if it was reasonable. He agreed to the deal.

The list is pretty straight forward.

Morathi
Medusa (going with the Raging Heroes one)
The rest all Snake Ladies

It comes up to around $600-$650.

My question to you all:
Why is there so little representation of the Daughters of Khaine? I have been looking around the interwebz trying to learn some tactics and strategies but I can only find a handful of battle reports and almost nothing discussing the army.
Why is this?
Are they too new? Not enough people own an army of them yet? Maybe they're just too cost prohibitive?
Its not killing my interest but I just find it odd there is so little to go on.

They haven't won any tournaments. Therefore the player representation is a lot smaller. If they start placing high in tournaments you'll find player representation balloons greatly.

Go to The Grand Alliance. There's a 80+ tactica page where some of the best DoK players have been theorycrafting since the first leaks. Also DoK have issues winning tournaments but dominate 7th-15th in most events.

Give yourself enough time to figure out who to listen to and TGA is the best tactica resource out there. Just be wary of the narrative people trying their best.

Unhealthy Competition With Other Legions

The only problem I've run into trying to start them up myself, is that it's almost impossible to buy a cauldron of blood kit, and therefore miss out on all the non morathi characters and some major buffs.

If you're going all snakes, then the only tidbit I have is the shooting mortal wounds don't proc on morathis command ability.

Thanks for the advice guys!
Very helpful indeed. I took the plunge and just bought 6 boxes of Snake ladies, 2 boxes of Canarys, box of Doomfire Warlocks and I grabbed 2 models to stand in as a Medusae and a Slaughter Queen (only to win an ebay bid for an inbuilt Cauldron still on the sprue!!!!).

Now I just need Morathi.
