To all you gaming dads celebrating Fathers Day with us here in the UK I'm wishing you a very happy day.

Fingers crossed for gaming treats (you never know)
Well actually if you ordered them yourself you do (know what I'm talking about?)

I'm looking forward to a batch of Scotia Grendel 1:300 scale WW2 aircraft.
If you got any new gaming goodies for Father's Day do let us all know.

I got The Boy this weekend, looking forward to a game with him tomorrow. There is a gift, gaming related. I’ll find out exactly what it is Sunday.

But the true gift is spending time with him.

Not that I’ll let sentimentality stop me from trying to table him once the battle starts. If you coddle them, they never learn.

I decided to treat myself to a big bag of KMC perfect fit cardsleeves.

It's not like I was ever going to get them bought for me in a million years, even if I rolled Xmas, Father's day and my birthday into one.

I'd just a funny look, along with a "are you sure that's what you really want?"

I got my favourite gift. The house to myself for an entire afternoon. I painted, sealed, primed some new stuff, built some new stuff, and my munchkins were out with Mom.

The house was quiet, nobody bumped the table, nobody asked me questions, nobody talked incessantly about whatever TV show they watched last... nobody spilled my water pot on me.

I love being a family man and wouldn't trade it for anything, but I get the house to myself three, maybe four times a year and I got 5 straight hours of it today. It. Was. HAW-MHAY-ZHING!

No gaming stuff, no new toys. But wife and son are probably gonna try to pamper me. Truthfully, I don't want anything, a nice relaxing day and room to stretch my legs is good enough. And of course cuddling up with the family with a good movie.

I will forever remain humble because I know I could have less.
I will always be grateful because I remember I've had less.

Just spent the day chilling out with the two boys, nothing hobby related but did get the new Lego Star Wars cantina to add to the collection.

I got a card, a small chocolate bar (that the boys then ate half of) and a small handful of coppers (about 10p worth) that my youngest freely admitted he had stolen from my bedside table in the first place...

Managed to spend some time stripping down and priming, however it was the garage door frame, not models...

Am feeling very dadly right now though.

Just got back from dropping The Boy back with his mother. Got in a game of 40, he won. And only partially because my dice were ice cold. He got me a primaris captain. I’ll bump him up next on my to-build list.

I went a visited some historical stuff from the War of 1812 near me.... which is pretty neat since I live in the Upper MIdwest and there is not much War of 1812 action around these parts.

I'm not a dad yet, but my nephew wanted to play with our newly acquired Ynarri.

No gaming things for me. But lots of love from my little one and Mrs. Captain Brown.

Cheers,
