Just as the title says anyone thinking of incorporating the Terax Drill into their non Mechanicum armies as a viable choice? I was wondering if it might help some Black Templars Crusader Squads out. Just curious to see what everyone's thoughts are.

I mean it basically acts like a more expensive Drop Pod, except for a bit more points it's actually independent and stuff.

Unfortunately the selection is limited for what you can take. ×2 5 Man Command Squads with Storm Bolters and Chainswords with a Captain/Chapter Master and Lt. might be okayish.

CSM armies have better uses for days though. I predict several people trying to make World Eaters work are gonna be using these with glee, and that's not even counting the Legions that aren't terrible.

They look vaguely useable, though I wouldn’t call them competitive. It’s good that they’ve got a capacity of 12, meaning you can put characters in there as well as a couple of 5 man squads.

If you want to use drop pods then... don’t. But if you really want to use them, these are better as they can move around and kill things.

Before the big faq nerfed all deep strike these things might have been reasonably good. I can’t see much point now I’m afraid.

With most of the outcry I cannot imagine that errata is going to stay. As is, they're much better for any beta strike than the Pod was.

Even with screens on T1, Chosen with all Combi-Bolters, Chainswords, and the Khorne mark to get the banner would be pretty decent against various screening units.

They look really cool, and I was all excited until I saw the monetary cost... £75 for a single glorified drop pod... sigh :(
