Greetings,

I know this is a common topic, but there hasn't been a post in a while.

What companies and base sizes do you use for 15MM Kings of War? We want to use the incredible
sculpts from Battle Valor Fantasy range.

Any help appreciated. THanks.

Splintered Light has some great Orcs, Goblins, Dark Elves and Wood Elves. Undead seem ok, but I worry of the fragility of 15mm skellies.

15mm is a bit tricky for me. I have run a lot of 6/10mm KoW and I basically use the system where you treats all measurements as centimetres rather then inches, but that is a bit to small for 15mm and I haven't found a satisfactory solution to it yet.

I played with the idea of keeping all the measurements/base sizes of 28mm KoW and just use 15mm minis for it, but it is a bit clunky.

I use Demon World for 15mm, but I would use anything that looks good. I am still looking for a Hippogriff I can use for 15mm Bretonnia. So far I have found 1, but I not completely sold on it.

Base sizes are:
Major Hero/General/Individual 50mm round
Hero/Officer/ Individual 40mm round
Infantry 40x15/20mm
War Engine 40x40mm
Chariot/Large Cav 40x40mm
Cavalry 40x30mm
Monsters/Elephants 40x40mm

Sorry for the messy table, I could not figure out how to make a nice one.

Thanks for the link, are the riders legs sculpted onto the Hippogriffs body?

ithink, but I could be mistaken, that it said in the description it comes with 3 right legs and 3 left --but I'l ask Ed for you on the Batle of Valor facebook page.

As for the replies about base sizes, I don't know if we'll have time to tackle making trays for this, which makes me a sad gamer.

They will have to be specialty-cut, or some other method, and it sound like a handful.

We may just wait and play the mass-rule set for Battle of Valor, book is coming out soon.
It's more difficult than KoW, however (2 shooting phases, different orders, etc.)

I appreciate the help and I'll reply here about the 'Griffs.

from a recent customer:

"I just picked up a pack of these guys. The front right leg is separate. The other three are molded on."

Well, the movement trays I use are just magnetic paper strips and they are roughly cut to size with sissors.

The bases are magnitised with magnetic tape.

That seems like a decent way to handle it, although the bases for characters seems to be a bit big. Do you play on a standard 6x4 table for this?

No, we use a tiny 4x3 table but use cm instead of Inches for movement and deployment.

The bases are big, but as characters have 360 Degree line of sight and movement they are still very manoeuvrable. It makes inspiring a tiny bit easier, combo charges harder as well as making the characters are harder to hide.

So far I have not had a problem with the big bases, but for example my Godspeaker Shaman is on a 40mm base with 1 Orc Shaman and 2 Goblin assistants so the base does not feel empty.

Forged in Battle has a great deal of different 15mm historicals that would be suited to a Kingdoms of Men army

I love this idea, the game seems so well suited to the smaller scale! Would like to see some pics if folks have successfully converted over to 15mm

The rule book for Battle of Valor Fantasy is shipping in about a week. We're looking forward to that.

Thanks for this man. Sorry for the late reply. so basically a few different renedra base sizes, for example, sometimes combined (like cavalry horde) make it all work it seems...
