Hey guys

Is there anyway to get the bodies for two armigers with the arms magnetised so you can run two helverins or two warglaives? Saves you having to buy 4 bodies. Or is it just too hard to get the weapons separate. If I did manage to get the weapons for each type separately would the magnetising job be possible?

Thanks

You literally only need the arm weapons I magnetized mine. The weapons themselves have the slot for the arms to be attached. In that slot I put a magnet, can’t remember the size but it fit perfectly then I cut the pin off that’s supposed to go into the slot and drilled a hole for a magnet in the arm section.

To get the weapons just watch eBay everyone is trying to get them now so they might be on the expensive side but when bit sellers start seeding the market with them it will be easier

Yeah.. as stated, you only need to magnetize the arm mounts. The top mount is the same options on either mount.

The arms magnetize a lot like the Knight arms, where you fit the magnets at the join that would rotate the arm inward or outward. Drill the magnet into the upper section after cutting off the mounting ring, and then set the other magnet into that rotator join.

Shouldn't be too much of a challenge, might need some wire under the magnet to suport it, superglue the magnet to that, then putty around the magnet to hold it in place. I do that only because my 5x2mm magnets aren't quite big enough in the lower half of my Knight arms - upside being I use galvanized steel pinning wire, so the magnet sticks to the wire which is then reinforced by the superglue, and then the putty.

4 of those guns cost as much as a box of helverins as a heads up

Too bad GW made this real hard. They should have put both options in one box but nooo. Also annoyingly they have their own shoulder pads etc so you can't have mechanicum or knight style for both unless you buy literally double everything...Guess GW tried to make players make both knight AND mechanicum house...

And I'm pretty sure bits stores are going to put up those weapons and shoulder parts pretty expensive so not sure how much cheaper those really will be...

They're already Up from a few reliable sellers I've dealt with.

I'm with you tneva - I'm hating this whole trend towards one-purpose kits they've been going through lately. I almost dread looking at the Preceptor box, because my gut says they'll do something to remove other weapon options.
