Hi all.
Sorry i have to ask here but I did re-read the BRB and looking at FAQ/erratas for freshen up my memory.
I might have missed it but don't think so and if not, we at the club have been playing wrong...

First of, CP usage. Before battle round begins = endless, yes.. But let's say in shooting phase, can i only use 1 stratagem? if so, where do i find it? i'm rather new to 40k and must say GW and rule-writing is in my own oppinion as bad as a 10 year old wrote an essay..
Basic, can or can i not use mor than 1 strat / phase?

Hit-roll. I've been playing 1= allways miss. 6 = Allways hit.
I can't find the rule of 6 = hit, so modyfiers seems even better now.


Rhinos, I've been reading about the Zerker ruch with plasma rhino. So if you advance with the rhino add kill it with 1 to hit overcharge plasma. jump out 3" with zerkers and then charge with them.
If you make the zerkers legion "Renegadechapter Dark rider" then YES you can for Advance + charge but not for WE. Or do the unit(s) inside a transport not suffer from anything from the transport itself and only affect open topped transports units?


Sorry for making such noob questions and my bad english. but GW makes it a hard time for us to follow everything they send out in all different places. It can't be THAT hard to write rules in a group of pepole 8th ed later...

You can't find the rule that says a 6 is always a hit because such a rule does not exist.

The rule for only using a stratagem once per phase is on the Matched Play pages (no reference, away feom books I’m afraid). It only restricts using the same stratagem each phase, so you could use many in a phase as long as they are different.

1) Stratagem use is only limited in Matched Play, Page 215 BRB.

2) There is no rule saying that a 6 always hits in 8th edition.

3) If a transport advances, the unit inside don't suffer the penalty unless a rule says otherwise (such as Open-Topped). However, you can't advance a Rhino and fire it's plasma gun and as far as I know there isn't any external buff that would allow it to do so.

4) GW have consolidated all the FAQs and Erratas into a single site, for what it's worth. Check the YMDC sticky by Ghaz for the links.

You can only use each stratagem once each phase. BRB p 215, It's a match play rule (also used at most events).

As has been said the rule of a 6 always hits is not in this edition. So if you need a 7 to hit you need to have at least a +1 to the die roll.

I'm sorry, I don't understand your Rhino questions.

The proper way to do the Rhino Rush does not involve advancing and it does not matter what the legion is.

Move 12" with the Rhino, shoot the plasma and the bolter (-1 to hit because you're using both). If you roll a 1 or a 2 (2-1=1) than your Rhino will be destroyed. Roll a die for each Zerker and on a 1 they are slain. Deploy the remaining 3" forward from the Rhino and then you are free to attempt to charge anything within 12".

we at my club have been playing a little wrong and need to adjust that.

So now my mind is set and i do understand how the rhino rush works. Tank you Kharneth!

And don't forget to look for targets that give more negatives to Hit like Smokescreens, Supersonic, or Alatoc Rangers!
