I want to build an middle ages styled imperial guard army. I therefore plan to kitbash freeguild models from age of sigmar and skitarii models together, using skitarii ranger guns and skitarii vanguard heads with freeguild body's. Could this present any problem?
Also it would be great if you could give me some more inspiration. ^^

Have you looked at Empire Handgunners (or whatever they're called now?)

They have neat muskets, a gattling gun and grenade launcher that can sub as various IG weapons.

I would imagine that using Empire models in plate armor would make for some excellent Scion models as "Knights on foot", most of the Empire cavalry are an easy sub in for Rough Riders as well.
