I’d like to include a lone Knight into my list as an Super Heavy Aux Detachment. If I do so, can I use the Imperial Knights Stratagems?

Specifically, I would like to add a lone Armiger Warglaive to my list and then use the Sally Forth! Stratagem to have it outflank. Doable??

Thx

It depends on the exact wording of the codex.

For Knights, any detachment unlocks stratagems, even SHAD. You won't unlock a Household Tradition though, but you DO (as of the time of writing) get Freeblade Qualities, so take it as a Freeblade.

AFAIK the only detachment that is forbidden from unlocking stratagems to date is the normal Auxiliary Support Detachment, which doesn't apply to Knights anyway because it can't take Lords of War.

This is the wording of the Stratagem:

Use this Stratagem during deployment. You can send one QUESTOR IMPERIALIS QUESTORIS CLASS or ARMIGER CLASS unit from your army to out ank the enemy instead of setting it up on the battle eld. At the end of any of your Movement phases this unit can join the battle – set it up so that it is within 6" of any battle eld edge and more than 9" away from any enemy models. You can only use this
Stratagem once per battle.

You could use that, but remember that you'd have to bring them in on turn 2 or 3 in order to not have to have them show up in your deployment zone.

This would work on one unit, which would cover more than one Armiger before deployment, as long as they are one unit (in case at some point you decide to have the Armiger's buddy with him).

Yes, Amigers start as a unit of between 1 to 3.
Thanks

It's imperial knight detachment. Thus it unlocks strategems. So you can use it to send anything just as well as if it was normal super heavy detachment so basically if not FW knight or one of the bigger knights(which is what I was planning to use it if I would be against shadowsword or it's kind) fair play.

This rule is beta, not official, yet. If you play by the normal rules you can use it turn 1. If you play a tournament check their rules, if they use it.

That rule might be beta but it's so common might just as well accept you'll be using it and forget about "but it's beta". Yeah it's beta. But you have higher chance of running into group that doesn't allow premeasuring than one that doesn't use that.
