Warwalkers will deploy on the board at the start so i don't breach the 50% PL reserve threshold and avoid an accuracy penalty. As a result my expected number of depolyment drops is only 7 with the list as it stands. If i think the opponent has enough anti-vehicle fire that will be going for the Webway Gate then I can pull some of the Dire Avengers out of the Webway Spar and into a Webway Strike instead so that I reduce the risks.

Have you had any opportunity to playtest this list?

I'm considering brewing up something similar but using more units that wouldn't otherwise be able to deep strike, like Taloi and an Avatar.

I feel like the Webway Spar is just kind of in a weird limbo right now during the beta but will be fun to use.

Going to be a while until I have the whole thing done as I will be building it from scratch unfortunately.

Currently i'm finishing painting my 40K in 30PL force before I get started, and then I'll be starting a project log up for this one force given that not much seems to be wrong with it.

Only change i'm thinking so far is dropping the flamer from the Wraithlord to stick a fusion pistol on the Troupe Master.

I think webway gate is not worth the points for this kind of list. You are spending 120 points to put 240 points in it? Even as a transport it would be pretty marginal value and has a ton of movement restrictions and deployment problems.

I would consider dropping it for something else It. You might be able to upgrade your harlies deatchment to a battalion for +4 CP's. That would give you enought o spend several to deepstrike the dire avengers, which would accomplish the same goal. Consider

-2 death jesters
-1 webway spar
-5 dire avengers in 1 of the squads
+1 shadowseer
+5x harlequins
+1 starweaver

gets you an extra many CP's and a solid bit more threat.

You've missed that the Wraithlord is in the webway spar too, and that cannot otherwise get up-field via stratagems in the way the Avengers could, otherwise I'd certainly see your point.

I also really want to give the Webway Gate a proper playtest as very few people seem to actually be even trying to utilise it and are just writing the thing off based on assumptions rather than any actual experience.

You can fire and fade the wraithlord right? Theres an extra 7 inches of movement and I think you can still advance. I'll need to check.

That should put you in range of a t2 assult.

I would consider finding a way to squeeze a wave serpent in there since they are kinda funny in 8E
