Hey all,

Taking a first stab at a T'au list. Going against the Triptide grain here, but I think I've got something decent.

List:
Spoiler:

T'au Sept Battalion

HQ
- Cadre Fireblade, Markerlight, 42 pts
- Coldstar, 4x Fusion Baster, 174 pts

Troops
- 6x9 Strike Teams, Shas'ui w/ Markerlights, 66 pts each

-------------------------------------------------------------

Sa'Cea Battalion

HQ
- Cadre Fireblade, Markerlight, Shield Drone, 52 pts
- Coldstar, 4x Fusion Blaster, 174 pts

Troops
- 3x5 Strike Teams, Shas'ui w/ Markerlights, 38 pts each

Heavy Support
- 3x1 Broadsides, Heavy Rail Rifle, 2x SMS, Target Lock, 2x Shield Drones, 151 pts each

-------------------------------------------------------------

Vior'la Battalion

HQ
- Etheral, Honour Blade, 45 pts
- Coldstar, 3x Fusion Blaster, Shield Generator, 161 pts

Troops
- Breacher Team, Pulse Blasters, 35 pts
- 2x10 Kroot Carnivores, 50 pts each

Elites
- 3x3 Stealth Suits, Burst Cannons, 84 pts each

The idea is to try to deny ITC objectives, have good board control, and lots of CP. The 6 squads of Fire Warriors would likely be split into two groups, one supported by their Fireblade, one by the Ethereal. That Sa'cea detachment privides rerollable markerlights, rerollable HRR shots, and access to good Sa'cea marker stratagem. The Vior'la is there for mobile board control. Breachers seem random, but I had those points left over and wnted to bump up to a third Battalion, so they'll just be objective grabbers.. Points also explain the one Coldstar with 3x Fusion and a SG.
I'm a bit lacking in the mid-strength shooting department, but I think stratagems and enough Fire Warriors should fill that niche well enough.

Thoughts? What holes do you see? What would this list struggle against?

I would change target lock for velocity tracker on the broadsides. There shouldn't be anything forcing them to move, and you have plenty to wrap them with if threats are present. Or if you are confident in your ML, a shield generator.

I think you need to drop the cold stars and one broadside for a bigger suit, at least a riptide, potentionaly a Y'vahra. Maybe a ghost keel fitted for fusion to deal with threats with armor.

And drop the stealth suits for pathfinders. You will be overflowing with marker lights and have 3 rapid fire rail rifles that can fish for mortal wounds and gift your army their fucktastic drones: Recon, Pac, grav.

As your army stands, 5 eversor assassins could table you.
