Anyone fed up with GW taking existing models, slapping on a few new weapons and selling them as 'new' models. GW are really taking the piss, if we weren't paying premium prices it wouldn't bother me. But its becoming a joke now. Plus they look daft with that carapace, its just slapped on. It looks like a toy you'd get at toys are us.

Hmm. This is a problem with the bigger kits IMO. I loved building and painting Mortarion, but his scale fits most standard Action Figure models rather than a mini. And my chief complaint for the Khorne Kytan is that it really does look like a toy robot from a Saturday morning TV show.
If you've got nothing useful to add, then don't comment. If you don't think its a joke, then you're a GW brown-noser and you'll obviously love any gak they shovel.

The IK is a pretty sweet display piece though.
I love my Kytans, they look awesome.

On one side, buying one box usually gives you access to multiple units. There is very few cases where the same box is made into sprue differences, baneblades and IKs are the worst offenders for it.
That being said, there is literally no harm in it. You can't /really/ magnetize the knights effectively, so it's not even a debate of if having both in one kit really benefits you. You pick a knight (which I will add have wildly different play styles) and go with it.
In some ways, it is a marketing practice. In other ways, the reason you're alone on your soap box is because it is such a non-issue for most purchasers, because even when they ARE packaged together, it rarely matters. I've bought two boxes of Raptors/Warp Talons. Both are now Warp Talon squads.

If you don't like it, don't buy it.
I'm not planning to, but I can still comment about it and comment on how GW short change us.

Baneblades sure, no problem in that, as they are STC variations. But the Castellan isn't and it doesn't look good either, it looks cheap and ugly.
Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

You can just keep quiet. People that say that, just don't buy it are autistic morons.
I have merely one thing to add to this, specifically to your response to the other poster, not my post.
They are 4 chan autistic morons, they are as original as my big toe. Giving themselves high fives, brimming with pride, "I told him not to buy, I'm fething awesome" So pleased with their selves lol

This is such a non issue lol If you don't like something don't buy it.
Honestly whatever you're getting at isn't very clear either.
It's a knight it was going to be expensive, it's bigger so it's gonna be more expensive.
Baneblades are even more of a joke. The amount of times I thought about getting a variant but had no idea what they did because there's over 5 variants all built off the name Sword or blade or hammer. Very confusing, unlike how all knights have a unique name
But maybe take a step back cause you're getting upset over a chunk of plastic

Thank you Delvarus for such a well thought out argument, superb. The replies are top notch as well, logical instructive comments that can't be faulted (!)
I'm surprised that calling everyone that disagrees an "autistic moron" is "something useful to add".
There are plenty of models that I don't like the aesthetic of, like most of the Eldar range. I don't buy them. Works great for me, and it may also help you lead a happier life. It's likely to be more effective than starting threads to complain, then slinging lazy insults at anyone with a contrary opinion.

Saying 'don't buy it then' isn't disagreeing, would you think someone is really offering advice, thinking that the option to not buy it is something that would never enter the mind. In what way is that contrary opinion, contrary to what exactly, certainly isn't contrary to the question asked. Yes morons say that. Acting like that is anything but an a-hole response is just jumping on the bandwagon.

You're starting to make me sad to be a Khorne player.

A Khorne player wouldn't be offended nor would they just ignore things people say and get on with your life. When life gives you lemons KILL MAIM BURN lol
I'm amazed that this many people respond to an obvious trolling attempt like this. C'mon guys. If you take a deep breath and ask yourself "is it worth responding to this?" you'll come to the conclusion that no, it's not worth it responding to this.

From reading this thread, you are the only one being a "douchy a-hole". Calling people GW brown-nosers, etc. is not only rude as hell but probably against forum rules.
And those people aren't wrong about it; if you personally don't like a model, JUST DON'T FREAKING BUY IT!!! Stop trying to rain on everyone else's parade. Why is this even a thread?
My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
