So I've started a league with a few friends and decided to use pro elves as they're the only elven team with a new plastic team out at the minute, my starting roster was 2x blitzers, 2x catchers a thrower and 6 line elves and 3 rerolls with the plan to buy an apothecary asap, sadly first game I lost a catcher and again in my 3rd game I've not only lost my second catcher due to an apo rerolling dead in to dead but I've had to fire my thrower and buy a new one because he took a -ag injury. Any tips on how to recover if I can at all, at the minute I have a single invincible blitzer who has taken MVP in all of my games because he's not only scoring everything for me but he's just causing a lot of problems for my opponent, he's currently got block/dodge, sidestep and has just gained jump up. I play chaos in my next game and after sacking off the elven union D6s for none stop repeat 1s (literally dodging away and rolling a 1 with a reroll to a 1 and the guys breaking their own armour and being taken out of the game or maiming themselves to uselessness) im a little worried in going to get splattered.

It is better imo to spend max. 2 rerolls for elves at gang creation. You can after all pick up, pass and receive the ball with ease.
How do you survive the game? That´s simple. Your opponent should only be able to punch one of your guys per turn with a blitz. If you don´t work towards this goal, a lot of pointy eared people will pay the price.

That's what I've realised but sadly in my third game every time I've dodged away even with rerolls I've gotten snake eyes, the elven union dice I have are definitely favouring the ones haha, I've switched to some square edged dice that I usually use in 40k and they tend to roll a lot more average for me. Of corse in not just blaming the dice, in completely inexperienced and only got a single practice game before the league started so in definitely using the catchers wrong and I've paid the price for it. We're planning another league after this one and I may go for dark elves, the AV8 will help and I just seem to use blitzers far better than any other player haha. In still enjoying the game and learning a lot though so all is good!

Dark Elves are my favourite team. I agree, four blitzers and AV8 linemen sounds great. But don´t forget that your best players are the females. MA7 & Frenzy is great for crowdsurfing. Once you outnumber your opponent the bashing can truly begin. Also don´t forget turn 16 fouls. DE just loves stuff like this.
