Where's that board image from? It's very weird, and it doesn't have any official Monopoly logos on it anywhere so it's definitely not the real board. And it's not on the link.

Anyway, I am fully on board for this.

I found the board when looking for a linkable version of the product catalogue image (as facebook wasn't playing nice), but I deleted it once I saw it full sized as it didn't (as you say) look legit and is probably a home brew thing found on the web

At the moment, the Monopoly wiki has 1,144 editions of monopoly. So it doesn't surprise me that 40k is getting an edition.

Yeah, but this is the first unbalanced version that you only play for the narrative.

Totally buying this.

My wife and I collect Monopoly sets and enjoy turning Monopoly into a drinking game.

Usually these themed sets have fun alternate text for the Chance and Community Chest cards, and of course the tokens are always really neat, so even though you are playing Monopoly you can still have some fun. Especially if you add booze.

Why not, you have Monopoly anything and GW are willing to dish out an IP license to anyone asking, so its a natural marriage.

Just like Monopoly Star Wars or Monopoly Game of Thrones it has no effective links to canon except name placeholders.

I see nothing wrong with the idea frankly, and will probably use some form of citadel miniature for the player tokens. I will love it if the pieces are reminiscent of the origanl pieces rather than orks and rogue traders etc.

I would like to see relational platying pieces such as a BFG warship as the ship, an astartes helmet as the hat, foot of gork or a dreadnaughts leg as the boot and a fleshhound as the dog. I dont know what would make a thimble, but it ought to have the ad mech symbol as the original thimble represented production.

Quite an interesting brand to license with, I suppose everyone else has though.

So, GW now cooperates with Hasbro?
