Been working on 2 minis on a real slow project. One of them a Stormcast Eternal and another a genestealer. I got thinking what if I used the genestealer cult army as a "counts as" for an Age of Sigmar? If so what book would I use? I know there was a person who was a Tyranid player but only used Skaven minis. Would the Skaven book be good to use for Genestealer Cults? I am trying to start a Destruction force since I already have some Beastclaw Riders but I don't see any good count's as there. What about other armies that are in the Destruction alliance?

Maybe Chaos or Order would be a better fit for a "counts as" Genestealer Cult army? If so, which ones? Would they be mutants? Maybe cast offs from faild Stormcast Eternals creations?

I am not looking to play a powerful army, but something that could be fluffy in an AoS setting and I can use for both gaming systems. Just trying to get some inspiration to see if I can move faster in my modelling and painting.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Hmm, well with "failed experiments" my first thought for an Order army is Deepkin who do possess lots of powerful infantry.

Otherwise Slaves to Darkness, Devoted of Sigmar composed of "reclaimed" humans seeking redemption and Skaven that are humans experimented on and sent into battle to soften the enemy (Skaven Thralls) come to mind.

For Destruction i'm imagining Bonesplitterz, fluff could be a human settlement that held off their WAAAGH but that tribe recently slew a mountainous monstrosity so was in such a frenzied energy it flowed into the town and infected the people.

That's what Daemons are for.

Unfortunately for you, GSC is aesthetically very 40k. There's no way you'll be able to pass them off as anything from AoS in a remotely convincing manner. To try to do so is really just going to come off like you're taking the piss. Feel free to proxy them as filler to test stuff prior to actually investing in models, but I wouldn't consider there any reasonable way to represent them as an actual AoS army.

That is what I was afraid off. I thought maybe taking Stealers the Patriarch and Magus and nothing with a gun. It was worth a shot in asking.

I think it can still work if you go with a heavy Skaven Skyryre theme. You'll probably have to buy some Skaven to get the theme across but if you give them crazy tech with a green warp stone glow on everything then I don't think it'd be too out of place for AoS' mad rat scientists to have such mutant tech slaves.

Some small scale testing will likely be required to see how it'll look and mesh with the fantasy setting.

Thank you for the ideas. I think I have the Skaven book, so if I can find it, I will look through it. Bought it but never read it so will see how it is.

Does Brayherds have a book? I will see if I can borrow my friends copy of Flesh Eaters Courts.

I don't know what the crazy warpstone is but will read up on that. Sounds like a good idea.

Again thank you all for the great advice.
