So.....hopefully this one can be kept on topic since the previous thread got locked....

At present I am working on Mekton and X-wing stats/cards for Robotech (and eventually Macross) and am looking to do even others (SilCore, old WEG d6, maybe even Heroes 5th and/or d20 mecha)

I have previously done much Robotech and Macross in Palladium's system

https://worldofjaymz.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Robotech_(Palladium)

https://worldofjaymz.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Macross_(Palladium)

https://worldofjaymz.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Macross_-_DYRL-verse_(Palladium)

I have done up all of wave one from RRT in Alpha Strike

https://worldofjaymz.wikia.com/wiki/Robotech_Alpha_Strike

And I have done a few items in Mekton Zeta (Standard, Cinematic and eventually Fleet)

https://worldofjaymz.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Robotech/Macross_(MZ)

And some real world aircraft to go with them

https://worldofjaymz.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Real_World_(MZ)

And of course all the RRT material is still available on the wiki I started a while back

https://robotech-rpg-tactics.wikia.com/wiki/Robotech_RPG_Tactics_Wiki

My hope is for anyone interesed to add their own material links or ideas here, so please let's try to stay on topic.

Fanmade cards for all eras of Robotech are now as up to date as they can be.

Good work. I would be interested in seeing a game of Robo-X-Wing in action.

Indeed. A Pathways system Robotech game would be a hoot. A Macross game, even more so.

Forgive me for not knowing it but Pathways?

Personally, I prefer to use the Strange Aeons software for putting together a Flightpath version.

Here's what I had been attempting:

Filename Robotech Flight Path.pdf [Disk] Download
 Description Flightpath Robotech Rules
 File size 351 Kbytes

I'm not sure I agree with your direction but I am more than happy for people to have all the options they can *thumbs up*

Mr. Chen needs to do a bit of research before writing his articles. Robotech has been rebooted already, it's called Macross Frontier. It follows many of the same story arcs as the original Macross did and even linked in with further story lines like they did with Southern Cross and the Invid Invasion with Robotech in Macross Delta.

HG isn't going to reboot because they won't own the license long enough to make it a worth while investment but once they finally loose their license the rest of the world will be able to purchase Macross Frontier and Delta along with the other Macross series (some of which are good, others meh). Right now you have to download fan subs online to get these series due to HG.

Miniature Market has a current in store sale of the main box set.
$30 limit one per customer... But still had a giant stack of them.

I know this isn't fully related to the game, but what scale are the miniatures? Would the ones on sale at the moment be able to substitute for Tau Crisis Suits? I am looking for cheaper alternatives to them, and these might be the ticket with a bit of work.

The Battle Pods which are larger might be..."okay" as suits, but that'd be pushing it. The Veritechs/Valkyries are much smaller.

I have used battle pod torsos for my Eldar War Walkers though.

Robotech minis are 6mm scale.....the cl9sest thing to a tau crisis suit might be the female power armour and even then it'll be small. I'll post a pic of a vf and crisis suit in a bit.

I think the officer's battle pod (Glaug) would be pretty close then?

Size wise maybe but looks wise the Female PA would be closest....

So, not exactly planned, but this has turned out being something of a "feth you PB" weekend ^_^

I've been doing some more 3d printing tests:

That was the first, and the easiest by far (required no supports at all)

The next one... was kinda harder ^_^

...next time, I need to change the support setting. That was annoying. But in the end, I got to this:

Rougher than it should have because I nicked the mini removing the damn supports, but it looks well enough. And it's pretty on point, size-wise:

Then I got greedy xD:

It also looks pretty good size-wise:

The Battle Barge Buffet Line

Very nice results with fdm! Any thoughts on trying out a super short acetone vapor bath for the Zentraedi mechs? I think their organic smooth lines and curves might benefit from it moreso than the angular RDF.

As far as I know acetone does not really work with PLA, only with ABS, and ABS is kind of annoying to work with compared with PLA.

I'm looking on ways to smooth out the prints, but really, right now the biggest problem is that I keep nicking the prints when removing the supports.

I've found plastic cement works on PLA. If you get some Tamiya Thin Plastic cement you would be able to smooth at the edges on the print.

Is that so? Well, that's two pieces of good news then (being able to use it for smoothing and actually working on pla, I fething hate superglue so much). I'll have to test it now , thanks!

I don't have any Tamiya glue, but I do have the one by Mig, and I seem to remember it was the same kind...
