So, I believe this would be more streamlined. The Captain, the lieutenant, and the ancient will buff the devastator squads. The Venerable Dreadnoughts will hopefully also be in range of that. The Captain and the lieutenant are armed in order to repel charging opponents. The scouts will combat squad in order to secure a good area to drop the Aggressors. The Taurox Primes will roll up (hopefully) in order to fire shots with the Aggressors. Two or three regular Scion squads and one prime will be with the gunline. One or two will drop with the plasma Scions and the other Prime. The plasma Scions, of course, will kill whatever was behind the screen that the Aggressors and Taurox Primes destroy. Then, hopefully, the Taurox Primes will be able to evacuate most of the Scions from the area. The Devastators will be able to take advantage of the Heavy Bolter stratagem and the missile launcher stratagem for a potential 2D3 mortal wounds.

(Edited again)

Any suggestions?

Just one suggestion: drop one of the tempestus troop squads and use the points for ablative wounds on the devastator squads.

Besides that, would you say this is an optimal list?

I’ve been looking on the GW store, and it appears that ven dreads don’t come with autocannons any more, so I’m going to tweak this list.

Ven dreads may not come with autocannon but you can equip them with it. If you need the autocannons then get the aegis defense line and use those AC for modeling purposes. It it quicker and cheaper than ordering from forge world. Rifle dreads are pretty awesome, especial with BS 2 and near a CPT, very useful at getting rid of the pesky dawn eagle jetbikes everyone brings.

Besides that... You have all your bases covered. I personally like to have more skull crushing melee, but that's me.

I use RG and BA. Your combination of RG and scions is nice too. Your back line is -1 to hit and your close support can show up wherever they want.

I would drop the wargear from you CPT and LT. They should just hang out in your gun castle providing buffs. Their weapons should be long range. If you really want a CPT smash, then use an extra one and give him the silent stalker warlord trait, put him in STFS with the aggressors. I am not too impressed with ancients, unless its the DA one, extra guys in dev squads are usually better and you can space them out for deep strike denial.

So, I’ve looked at your suggestions, and made an alternate list based upon them. The benefits of this will be the autocannons, more wounds on the Devastator squads, and I would have nineteen units instead of twenty. I lose an ancient, I would have to buy two Aegis Defence Lines for the autocannons, and what is that, $74? I would keep the captain and lieutenant as they are, as they will only leave the gun castle in order to fight anyone that charges it. I don’t think I will do it. What are the other efficient ways to take out the jetbikes?

Another efficient way to get rid of jetbikes is causing mortal wounds. Hellfire shells and flakk missile stratagems. If you use the signum on the firer it hits on 2. Use both in the same turn and pop the cherub and now you are causing 4d3 mortal wounds to that unit and that is in addition to the lascannons. So with some luck on your dice rolls you could wipe an entire jetbike unit in one shooting phase. The same is also effective against harlequins.

Yes, I’m glad Ican take advantage of those stratagems then.
