A trio of Sequitors from the EtB kit. The Sacrosanct Chamber as a whole has really done a lot for the look of the Stormcast as a faction, I find the newer models much more dynamic and characterful than the original release. As such, with the EtB set out, I thought I'd try out a few different styles to see what they had to offer from a painting standpoint.

First up, probably the most 'normal' of the approaches, just trying to learn the models. The only real change being to add an Elf head in place of the original as I think it fits the model better.

Up next, an attempt to apply more of a distinct style. Anyone who's followed my work before will know I occasionally like to crack the grimdark up to 11, hence this model with its battered armour, worn fabrics, heavy weathering ect.

And finally, something rather different, as I've converted the final model into a Fallen Stormcast. I'm not really sure that the fluff has any precedent for this, but I think it's appropriate enough given the overall narrative of AoS where souls are simply commodities traded between Sigmar, Nagash and the Chaos Gods; this warrior's soul was not saved by the Lord Relictor of his host, and fell into the service of Nagash, an undead slap in the face of his former master.

Thanks for looking! Any thoughts welcome!

Ta folks!

As a bonus, here's a pair of Liberators, one continuing the metallic theme and an experiment with split schemes.

Incredible stuff, especially the fallen one. I might actually get into AoS if that was official part of it.

You love the T-Rex. Its both a hero and a Villain in the first two movies. It is the "king" of dinosaurs. Its the best. You love your T-rex.
Then comes along the frakking Spinosaurus who kills the T-rex, and the movie says "LOVE THIS NOW! HE IS BETTER" But...in your heart, you love the T-rex, who shouldn't have lost to no stupid Spinosaurus. So you hate the movie. And refuse to love the Spinosaurus because it is a hamfisted attempt at taking what you loved, making it TREX +++ and trying to sell you it.
