I've read the stratagem and I understand the use, what I'm NOT sure about is the units themselves. The two Spore Mine units are considered reinforcements, but do you actually pay for the cost of these units with your point allowance or are these units considered "free"?

From the Codex Tyranids FAQ:

Q: Do you pay reinforcement points in matched play for Spore Mines brought into the game using the Sporefield Stratagem?

A: Yes.

Lol...missed that one.

Its ashamed that they faq'd it such as it means the strat is absolutely useless unless its free play.
