First off, a link to the Kickstarter.

Stonegate Forge is running a second kickstarter to expand their inventory for Shatterlands.

Shatterlands is a skirmish game, set in a fantasy world and in an area basically on the technological equivalent of the French & Indian War. Games are usually played with 3-5 minis on a 4x4 or larger playing area, using hexes for terrain. The rules use lottery scratch off tickets for character cards, which players use to denote injuries and skills gained over time (by scratching off and revealing new levels of dice to use).

The original kickstarter succeeded and provided starter sets for the two sides.

The new kickstarter adds three new poses to the Rapani and Dumah, new water terrain hexes, and a second book of scenarios.

Here are the new minis:

(This miniature comes with a sprue to equip either a rifle or crossbow/carbine combi-weapon.)

You can find a AAR I posted in the forums here.

This is a bump for the campaign. Unfortunately, a $1000 backer pulled out, and with 5 days left, it's a disastrous result for the campaign.

If you're looking for a fun little skirmish game with great rules and an interesting setting, please check the game out. A few people buying a pair of starter sets and the expansions would be all that's needed to push the campaign over its funding level.

Honestly I think they need to go back to the board and redesign their campaign. 5 backers after a full campaign period and a very low goal (by miniature standards) is a sign that something isn't right. Either their models aren't cutting it; their prices, postage or perhaps their marketing is just not getting them any attention - or its multiple things.

Also looking at their previous KS for that same game they had an update in November 2016 when they funded and then not a single update until July 2017 when they were shipping. Granted some communication might have happened outside of there, but its a worrying display of a lack of proper communication in a KS from the KS organisers.

Also at this stage they really should have a gameplay video or three as well as way more game-play style photos and material to show off.
They've not informed enough nor built enough hype - even within the small population of backers from the first KS it would seem.
