Thank you.
Yeah that is why I took few images in different light. That is a blue lightbulb from the top that casts nice blue highlights. Unfortunately I was unable to do that in paint .

This is very good. Amazing colour schemes do not get the praise it deserves.

How did you make the tubes on topp?

I got a set of small drill bits, finger powered, at Harbor-freight store for like, i don't remember, around ten bucks or something.
Hand drill out tiny hole and cut fishing line, just super glue and fit.

Does that makes sense?

You honor me.
A small update. Felt like there is not enough contrast in color.

A bit of Yellow "eye" design on the port side and a whole yellow section with a different "eye" design on the starboard side.
Reads a bit better from the distance.

The Raider Crew. DE

Want them to wear a bit more yellow/orange armor than the Kabalite Warriors.

1 - Burnt Cad base.
2 - Flat white areas for washes
3 - Yellow wash
4 - Orange wash leaving some yellow to show through as a highlight.
5 - and mixture of black and crimson shades for a final wash.

Simple and quick, ready for detailing and or light blending.

Light-Blue, light pass on the armor.
Then, Silver highlights on the armor.

Painting the Body, the Head, and One of the Arms separately and gluing all together painted.

Then attaching the second arm/detail.
That way I can get into hard areas without too much trouble.

Slowly building the "Sythe and Sickle" DE from the 2 starter boxes and a small box of 10X Wytches.

Raider is tilted port side for the bladed ramp to reap the bloody harvest.

The Raider is not done yet, there are few passes of rim light, some areas need color blending, and grime textures, and dry pygments perhaps, and more holstered weapons and fetishes.
And making nifty bases for everything of-course.

For now, I need a break from DE.

Enjoy

Next update will be finished raider or 6X bikes.

Resuming the work on the Sythe and Sickle force.
Got 6 Reaver bikes from 2 starter boxes.

Planning to paint bikes in sections and glue painted pieces as the last step.
Also, figuring out the color scheme.

And plan to use the E-Brush that I got on my birthday.
Will try to use the E-Brush with:
1 - Oil-based markers
2 - The WATER paintbrush
3 - Prismacolor markers
4 - Sponge with watered down acrylic or diluted oils
5 - And making custom DIY - Jar Kraskapult.

Primed in sections with - Armory Primer (Light Gray)

And a test with Prismacolor Markers.
Depending on the angle and condition of marker, I would get smooth flow or more of a spatter effect.

Acrylic paint goes on top of the marker with out a problem at all.

In addition, at different viewing angles, I am getting iridescence effect from blue to pink, especially at a low angle.
Will post pictures at later time.

Blue color sprayed on both sides of the piece.
Yet at a different angle the color turns into pink highlights.

Kinda cool

1 - CraftWell E-Brush and Prismacolor Markers

2 - Thin pass with light teal

3 - Solid pass with white

4 - Pattern based in white. Few passes.

5 - Could of used thin coat of paint but wanted to see if markers would work.

6 - Outline with dark red

7 - Touch-up with High-Density-Paint

Reaver body is just coated in a (Citadel - Shade - Carroburg Crimson) right on top of the primer.
Edges picked up with lighter color. Very simple and ez.

I think this weird color scheme of (Tan / Gray-Red / Purple) fits the Sythe and Sickle well.

Oil-Based Maker with few modifications to make it fit the holder for the E-Brush.
Delivers a very smooth spray, if the marker tip is positioned just right, otherwise major spatter.

And a test fit. Gluing will be the very last step, once all pieces are painted.

Lovely looking force, digging the direction this is going in. Your colour choices are wild and expertly applied. Definitely going to be keeping an eye on this.

On a side note I'd recommended having a mod move this thread to the P&M blog section, it'd be right at home there.

Thanks man.
I tend to gravitate towards various grays and browns in personal work, however for miniatures the color contrast is more important.
Minis needs to look eye catching from a far and rich in detail up close. I am not there yet in the color schemes and in the application, but better than I was few months ago.

P&M blog section, sure not a problem. Yet I try to post rare and only key points, well see.

Oh, I'm not complaining. Quite the opposite, it warms what passes for my deviant heart.

It's honestly always kind of bugged me that you never see 'fallen' of any species but human.

@ Excommunicatus - I agree with you 100% Especially why are there no Nurgle versions of pretty much everything?

Update : STARWARS Podracer conversion coming along nicely.

Wire ends bent, flattened, and angled to fit into the ribbed grooves notches on the underside, and fixed with 2-part-poxy. The connection is solid, allows me to adjust-bend the length of wires if need be.
Pictures of engines where taken outside, shows off the colors better.
