Hey all,

Here's my list for an upcoming local tournament. It has a splash of Ulthwe. I've found that Skyweavers from Soaring Spite are an excellent bodyguard for the Farseer Skyrunner because, like battle focus on the Farseer, the Skyweavers are unencumbered by advancing and shooting. That and they have so many strategems for being defensive. Doom also does wonders for haywire cannons. So the Farseer rides with the unit of 6 Skyweavers. Pretty straightforward other than that. I would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

Those wraithlords seem pretty worthless on a tournament level, but besides that it looks like a really good list. Dropping all of the wraithlords frees up 459 points that you could use on: dark reapers in a wave serpent-
a shadowseer or 2-
a unit of shining spears-
extra fusion pistols or CCW's-
a warlock/spiritseer to support your spears or reapers-

you can bring your reapers or spears as 2 x 3 and one larger unit to fill out a detachment.

The shining spears might be fun if you bring a warlock and a shadowseer so that way you have 2 psychic powers that give you a double move so you could have a double first turn charge between your skyweavers with twilight pathways and your shining spears with quicken

I hope you keep the wraith lords. I really like them even if they are a sub optimal net build.

Thanks for the advice guys! I made a compromise. I agree, Wraithlords are not the most optimal choice, but I have a soft spot for them so I always try to include a few. That said, I may have been placing too many points in them as missile launcher turrets, so I lowered their cost and equipped them with shuriken cannons. That way they can move comfortably behind the rest of the army without heavy weapon penalty. To make up for the anti-vehicle/monster damage that their missiles were covering, I threw in a couple more haywire cannon Skyweavers. I find that the army has a lot of versatility and can handle most targets. There are plenty of shuriken cannons between the wraithlords and starweavers to attack light vehicles and infantry, haywire focus on large vehicles and are actually pretty decent anti-horde if needed, and fusion pistols can handle medium vehicles and monsters. Waddya think?

12 fusion pistols
12 shuriken cannons
12 haywire cannons

The only thing I would recommend would be to drop one Skyweaver and use the points to change one Troupe Master to a Shadowseer with Twilight Pathways and either Veil or Shards. Having Twilight really opens up options, either for getting a Troupe in pistol range first turn or for getting that big unit of Skyweavers into a multi charge to tie up a gunline. Also gives you another way to pile on Mortal Wounds with Smite, Shards, and hallucinogen grenade launcher. Don't get me wrong I love Troupe Masters too, but having a Shadowseer adds so much flexibility it's good to have at least one.

I like the list though, you didn't overdo the Troupe upgrades, which is good, some people load up too many specials. I usually do 4 fusion and 2 special weapons for Soaring Spite but you are right around there. I'm more of a Drukhari guy so don't have much to say about the Craftworld element.
Going for a lot of Skyweavers can be risky, but in your case at least you have the Wraithlords to help against their 'hard counter', Monsters, ie Nids and Daemons.

Good luck in the tourney, let us know how you do.

Sometimes, you just gotta take something cause the model is freakin cool...
