Hello all, i am a relatively new player (about 1 year now, but i started getting into it in 2015) I play a Blood Angels brigade list at 2000 pts. I have always wanted to play Orks and i have finally got the chance. At my local store lots of people play eldar and i need to find a way to beat them. I was too hasty making my Blood Angels list and did not make the correct decisions. So here i want to make it right. This is my fist attempt at an Ork list.

If you can find the points, add more Mek Gunz. The Dread will die turn 1, and can almost never get into combat due to being so slow. Also, it's terrible at shooting, so if you want one the Skorcha and another Klaw is a better choice

Except for the painboy, none of this is great. A big Mek is much better than 2 regular ones, and burnas are awful due to d3 wounds instead of d6. This would be a good spot to go for tankbustas to put in that battlewagon.

Can't go wrong with a burna-bomma, but I prefer the Dakkajet. If it lives it can go take out enemy warlords like nothing else.

Thanks for the input. I will definitely test out some of the things you have mentioned. Removing wagh banners, meks, and trukks will free up more space for boyz. Instead of burnas do you think i could use lootas? They would probably spit out some damage.

ghaz, whaagbanna and small boymob go into the wagon.
jump one unit first turn into enemy lines, have the second unit in the back field to do the exact same thing second turn.
use the the warboss on warbike as a missile unit and to grant whaagh to mobs surviving the jump turn
keep weirdboy in the back und use him in consequtive turns to jump gretchin into objectives or enemy lines

alternativly i would recommend to ditch the burnas and one trukk and get a second detachment with snikrot and 3 min units of kommandoz with burnas and bigchoppas, deepstrike em second turn to deal with enemy backfield threads

Something to note, I believe you said you are putting a bigmek in your battlewagon, i assume to try and heal it up every turn.

The Bigmek can not heal vehicles it is currently within, according to the last FAQ--see below

Q: Can a Big Mek use his Big Mekaniak ability to repair a
vehicle he is embarked inside? Can he repair another vehicle
within 3" of the vehicle he is embarked inside?
A: No to both questions; he cannot repair vehicles while
embarked inside a transport.

Other things to note, this edition seems to be popular for troop spamming. All armies benefit for it.

But try and add some synergy to your army. What i mean by that is, you were going to bring Three Waagghh Banners for an extra attack, but if you mob your boys over 20 (Recommend 30) and bring just 1 Waaaghh banner, not only do you now have 2 extra attacks instead of one, you also have about 150 more points. Thats a lot!! Thats another Dakkajet + boys, 2 more squads of boys, Warbike squad, another painboyx2, weirdboyx2 etc....

Just look for the synergy.

Zagstruk runs solo, trying to charge shooty units to either eat overwatch for a boys mob, or just tie up a tank for a turn. All other characters form a blob and dish out the buffs together.

Small mobs of boyz deploy in or behind the wagons, these guys exist purely for mobbing up into the bigger mobs or da jumping onto objectives.

Big mobs of boyz are your heavyweights, mob up and da jump, forming a congaline of shoota boyz back to gaz and co. Push forward with everything else and try to keep as much in combat as possible.

Boyz are mixed sluggas/shootas as you probably wont ever get the entire mob in fight range/if opponent falls back you can do something in the shooting phase - pick up the shootas 1st when allocating wounds though.

Save all command points for 3 actions:
1. Mob up
2. Charge rerolls (ignoring ere we go if one of the dice is 4+)
3. Getting 2+ big mobs of boyz fighting, interrupt the fight phase whenever possible.
